"It's a bit overwhelming to see my face on magazines when I drive to work or walk to it. It's strange to see my face on newspapers sites whenever I look up something." she admitted with a shrug of her shoulders. "I've been able to stay under the radar for the last 5 years Will, we knew it wouldn't last and I accept that. if that's the price to pay to have two of the best brothers in the world, I'll take it." she told him, leaning in to kiss his cheek.
"It's great to have a little sister such as you as well Kate. Our mum would have loved you and accepted you just as much." he told her as she gave him a soft smile, knowing how much it meant to him to tell her that and for her to hear it. She would have loved to have met the great woman that was their mother.
As the night continued and the party kept on going it kept getting rowdier as well. Kate managed to hide whatever she was drinking very well, managed to get dragged onto the dance floor with Catherine. She was always able to loosen up Kate in things like this.
"It's beautiful." Glen whispered as he stood behind his fiancé as they stood at the back of the building. They were looking up, their faces being lit up as the fireworks display kept on going above them. Harry and William stood on either side of them as they stood united as brothers and sister. It was nice to be a part of all of this, to have family that wanted to be her family and weren't compulsed to do so by their blood connection. They loved each other simply cause they wanted to and they understood each other. Made up a part of each other's life, it wasn't hard, looking to her left and right, seeing Harry and William. She loved them as if they were her blood brothers. "It is." Kate agreed with a small sigh as she leant into Glen even more as he kissed the side of her neck, before looking up, his arms wrapped securely around her waist, resting on her tiny bump.
"I can't wait till next year, when I get to call you my wife." Glen whispered in her ear as a grin grew on her face and she twisted her neck to look back at him, cupping the back of his neck and she kissed his lips. "And you'll be my husband." she whispered as both of them grinned at each other with big grins on their faces. "and a little one first." he grinned, rubbing his thumb back and forth against her tiny bump.
Jumping up from her bed, Glen's arms fell from around her as she rushed to the bathroom. Sinking down to her knees, she was just in time for the bile to rise up and she started to vomit into the toilet. Oh god, here she was thinking she wasn't going to be sick this time, guess she celebrated too early for that to become a reality. She felt fingers brush her hair back as another ran soothing circles on her back.
"I'm here love, it's alright." Glen's soothing voice whispered as she continued to vomit in the toilet. they'd gotten home pretty late after the wedding reception last night. Maybe having dinner so late had been the trigger to her bout of morning sickness. She hoped that it was the cause, she wasn't feeling up to puking her guts out every morning again, like she'd done when pregnant with Arthur.
"You finished?" Glen asked her worriedly as she sunk down to the floor beside the toilet. "I'm fine," she told him, brushing her hair that stuck to her clam forehead back. "God, I hoped I'd gone past this stage," she muttered as she rested her hand on her stomach as Glen rubbed his hand back and forth on her arm. "I'm here, you're not alone this time," he promised her, kissing the top of her head, before rising and handing her a glass of water as she rinsed her mouth.
"I sure hope so," she whispered when he helped her up and he wrapped his arms around her waist, kissing the side of her neck. "I'm here, this." he noted, sliding his hand down to take her left one in his own. "this means you're stuck with me now and always," he told her as a smile grew on her face and she gave him a weak smile, her stomach still feeling a bit queasy.
"I love you, sweetheart." Glen smiled at her as he rubbed his thumb back and forth as he tugged her back in bed when she was finished brushing her teeth. "I love you too," she replied, wrapping her arms around his waist as she crawled closer to him, feeling a bit cold.
