Steve Harrington

Sunset

Air chilly, a sunset streak over the light sky, a peaceful walk.

You and Steve walked down the road in silence, arms brushing, and soft even breaths. You looked down at the road, a small smile on your lips and he looked up at the sky, a grin plastered on his face.

At that moment, it was like all your worries and troubles disappeared in an instant, the only thing on your mind was him.

He looked down over at you and felt his heart race, adoration clear as crystal in his eyes. As he looked at you, the sunset behind you, he couldn't help but blurt out, "you're so beautiful."

Pink dust covered your cheeks. You looked up at him, smiling from ear to ear. You tucked a piece of your hair behind your ear and shook your head.

His walking pace slowed down, making you follow along, standing in front of him. He smiled and so did you.

Staring at one another, you couldn't help but fall even more in love with the boy standing in front of you. His hair, his eyes, his lips.

His smile, his cheeky jokes, his laughter, the way he hugged you, kissed you, held your hand. Everything about him just made you love him.

"How did I get so lucky?" He would say to you as he kissed your forehead, feeling his smile, but really, how did you get so lucky?

Having a loving boyfriend who supported you with everything.

"Do you just wanna ditch the party?" His voice brought you back to reality, bringing you out of your daydream.

"Really?" You asked with a raised brow. "wouldn't they miss King Steve?" You teased at the nickname he had gotten from all his crazy parties, charming style, and being the popular hot boy at Hawkins High School.

He sighed, bringing you closer to his warm body, placing his chin on top of your head. "They can survive a party without me. Right now, I just want to hang out with you, forget about everything." He mumbled and you wrapped your arms around his body, snuggling into his warmth.

"Okay." You mumbled back. "They might die, but, that's alright." You chuckled and pulled away from Steve, holding out your hand for him to take.

He rolled his eyes playfully and laughed, placing his large hands in your small ones. You both walked around the neighborhood, talking about everything and nothing.

Nothing was ever boring with Steve and you liked that. You didn't ever have to worry about keeping the conversation going or agonize that you're boring him.

Back at your house, Steve laid on your bed, his arm draped around his face, covering his eyes. You sat up against the bed finishing some homework that was due the next day.

Your siblings were out running around in the living room, the sound of their pounding footsteps and screaming sweeping under your door and into your room making you roll your eyes at their childish behavior.

"Come up here," Steve said after a while, making you look up at him from your spot of the floor. "You can finish your homework later, I'll help you."

You closed your hard textbook and notebook, sliding them off onto the side and you stood up, wiping off imaginary dust you had before crawling onto your bed and snuggling up next to your boyfriend who had his arms open.

He wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you closer and kissed the top of your head. "I love you." He mumbled into the crook of your neck.

Half of your body laid on him as you said, "I love you too." back before falling into a deep slumber with the only person you'll rather be with than anyone else.
