"Wake up, Cher." The bugaboo's deep voice of Gambit whispers in my ear. "Or do Gambit need to kiss you up?"
"No!" I shoot up, bumping my head against his. "Not in your dreams swamp boy." My raspy, country accent snaps.
"Well, you in my dreams, you know that's a sign?" His Cajun accent teases me.
Up I get from the bed, distancing myself away from him. "Stop messing around, now what do you want?"
He nears me, so sexy and smooth, his red eyes piercing into my green ones. This man makes me crazy, makes me angry and turns on at the same time. He's so frustrating. "Gambit would say you but...my health is concerned. Don't worry I will behave for a bit."
"What do you want?" I glance at a clock on my nightstand. "At midnight, this better be important!"
"Xavier senses a threat, everyone else is away so it's just you and me. Shall we go tango?"
"No thanks, I'll do this mission by myself I don't need you or your hands trying to cop a feel." At that, I burst through the ceiling in my night gown, flying to a secret underground base. Passing mechanical doors. Entering Cerebro, a dome like, metal lab, with a single walk bridge in the center, the rest of the floor is empty space looking below. "Where's the fire?"
Professor Xzavier, sits in the center of the bridge, a helmet on his head. "Mutants are planning to attack the village, you must stop them before they do so."
"Okey dokey, I'm on it." I begin to walk out.
"There are thirty of them, you must take Gambit with you, Rouge."
I sigh. "Hell, he'll only distract me, professor."
"I think the old man is right." He annoying smirks at me from the door. "Let's go." I lean my head back in irritation, it dangles to my butt, curly, brown with a white streak.
"Fine, move out of my way." Gambit steps aside and lets me pass, then follows.
