Bugs in Everyday Food

So today in Geology, I read an article in a Scholastic magazine that stated that a bunch of everyday foods have bits and pieces of bug in them.

This includes macaroni, cheese, peanut butter, and even chocolate. The average chocolate bar has approximately eight pieces of cockroach in it.

Frankly, the FDA has no problem with this. Well, it kinda makes sense that they wouldn't mind because to get rid of the bugs and make sure they don't get into food when it's processed, workers would have to mix pesticides in with food, making it toxic and deadly. So yeah, there's nothing you can really do about it.

Anywho, I told my Mom this when I got home, and she just gave me a straight face, saying, "I don't believe you."

Well I got all flustered and said, "FINE I'LL GOOGLE IT! YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!"

So I researched it, read her the information, and she refused to believe it was true, just like probably a lot of you people reading this.

You're welcome.
