“Hello beautiful.” The strangers had has arms around my waist, his body pressed against mine.

My eyes readjusted to the new lighting and I looked up to find Aidan. “Mm pulling me into a dark room? Pretty sexy Aid.”

He smiled a boyish smile and I leaned up and pulled his face to mine. I didn’t like to waste time obviously. Our mouths collided and he pushed me up on the door, me wrapping my legs around his lean torso causing my dress to ride up to my waist.

“mmm” I leaned my head back in content, a small moan escaped from between our lips. I could feel Aiden smiling into the kiss as his hands slid up and down my body. His lips moved down to my neck while I ran my fingers through his hair, gently tugging on the ends. He loved when I did that. I moved my hands down from his hair to his plaid shirt and began unbuttoning the buttons one at a time.

“You’re killing me Kelsey.” Aidan’s words came out raspy and he bit on his lip as I gave him a sly smile.

I leaned up and attached my mouth to his neck, nipping at the sensitive skin. I loved being in control, seeing him squirm. It was a great power trip.

“Kels, I swear if you give me a hickey again.”

I giggled and pulled back, pressing my forehead to his. “But I like branding you.” I smiled and leaned in to give him a slow, heart racing kiss. He kissed me back, reaching his hands to tangle in my hair. I may like the hot, sweaty, fast kissing but I honestly enjoyed the slow, seductive much more.

He pulled back slowly and I reached back towards him, not wanting the moment to end. “Kelsey I have to tell you something.”

“What is it?”

“I think i….”

“Kelsey!!!” a voice came yelling from the hallway and I whipped my head around knowing exactly who the voice belonged too.

“Damn. Aidan you have to hide!” I pulled him away from the door and shoved him in the closet as the voice got closer and closer. I pulled up my dress and fixed my hair the best I could as the door handle started to shake and swung open. I ran over to the bed and sat down, trying my best to look innocent and nice.

“Kelsey, there you are!” It was just who I expected it to be, Noah. He walked in and then stopped suddenly. “Why are you sitting alone in the dark?”

“I uhm, was thinking.”

“Oh.” He walked over to me and sat down next to me on the edge of the bed. “Kelsey about what happened out there,” he shook his head and looked at her. “Kelsey I really want to get to know you better.”

I smiled and swung my legs off of the bed so I was sitting right next to him.

“I think you’ll make a great friend.” He smiled back and put a hand on her shoulder.

Friend? I could feel my mouth drop open and I quickly replaced it with a nod and a smile. What was this guys deal?

“So you should come downstairs and join the rest of us.” He stood up and flashed one smile before heading out the door.

“What the hell?”

I whipped my head around to see Aidan standing there, I had completely forgotten about him.

“Are you trying to do what I think you’re trying to do?”

“If you mean getting him in bed, then yes i am.” She shook her head and leaned back on the bed.

Aiden sat down and put her head in his lap, playing with her brown curls. “Bad idea Bud.” He shook his head, using his favorite nickname for her.

“I know but I made a dumbass bet with Lacey.” I snuggled up closer to Aidan and played with the buttons on the bottom of his shirt. I loved having him around, we may seemed like we liked each other but we didn’t. We were just so close to each other, we were one hundred percent comfortable with each other. That was why he was my best friend.

He chuckled and shook his head. “You my friend are a disaster waiting to happen. You got to stop being so feisty.”

“I know. Wait didn’t you have something to tell me?”

“Oh uh no.” His face completely changed and he became tense. “Forget about it.”

“You sure?” It was weird how he was acting and made me kind of nervous. He never kept anything from me.

“Yeah, we should probably go downstairs.” He said buttoning up his shirt and reaching out his hand to help her hand up.

“Thank you my good sir.”

“Let’s go have some fun!”

Two hours and about three drinks later, I was having a wonderful time. Someone had even managed to get Noah slightly tipsy, maybe he did have a dark side. I threw my hands in the air and shook my body to the beat, not caring that my dress was riding up big time.

“Kelsey.” I was suddenly spun around and thrown into someone’s arms. “I need help.”

I looked up to lock eyes with Noah. Damn this kid was confusing. He looked nervous and his gorgeous brown eyes glanced around the room. “Anything for you.”

“Lacey is trying to do bad things to me.”

I couldn’t help but giggle. This kid was such a prude it was funny. Bad things? Are you kidding? “Here follow me!” she interlocked his hand with his and pulled him towards the kitchen and out the back door.

“That was a close one.” He smiled and sat down on the edge of the pool, ending up where they had been earlier.

I cautiously walked towards him and sat down next to him, careful not to sit too close again. I had already made that mistake too many times. “So what’s your deal?” II gasped at myself, that was so up front. It must have been the alcohol talking because I definitely wouldn’t ask that any other time.

“What?” he glanced up at me and frowned.

“You’re so tense about everything. You’re so different from every other teenager out there.”

“Oh, that.” He shook his head and looked down kicking his feet. “That’s the point, I want to be different.” He looked back up at her, with the moonlight hitting his face he looked beautiful. “My dad’s dying.”

“What?” I had not expected that. I scooted closer and placed a hand on his, this time he didn’t pull away.

“He has cancer. It’s been on and off for a while now. It first happened when I was 13, I made a promise to him and myself that I would be the best I could be. I just keep it up because somehow I figure if I’m good, nothing bad can happen to him.”

“Wow. Noah, that’s so brave.” He was such a great guy, and I was not. I felt awful, he was so vulnerable. “If you ever need anything, I’m here. You can count on me as a friend.”

“Thanks.” He offered a small smile and looked over at me. Time stood still and I gulped nervously. I wasn’t going to be dumb and try to kiss him again, but this time he seemed to be leaning in. Finally it was about to happen. I began to lean in to meet his lips but instead a phone went off.

“Damn!” I suddenly remembered something, I had a curfew! “What time is it?”

Noah picked up his phone and ran a hand through his curly locks, “11:30 why?”

“Shit!” I grabbed my shoes off the ground and ran towards the house. “I’m so sorry Noah, but I have to go.”
