A need for caffeine

Seeing that it's only 10:17 in the morning, normally would have saddened me. But then again I knew it wasn't any later than that. After all, I just looked at the clock on my computer two minutes ago.

"Steve, has the new girl stopped by your office yet?" I heard from across the hall.

No. Why do you care Rob, damn. That's what I wanted to say but I have to keep up this good guy rep I have at the office because...appearances. "That's a negative buddy. You all must have scared her off. Haha."

"Ah, okay just checking."

Rolling my eyes as loudly as I could, I took a sip of now lukewarm coffee and looked at the clock again.

10:19

Got damn, I cursed under my breath.

"Um, Steve?" A woman who seemed to appear out of thin air uttered from my doorway.

Looking around the massive monitor on my standing desk, I caught a glimpse of who I assumed was...the new girl. She was cute. Or was it just the shy smile she wore underneath the tortoise patterned frames she had on? Hello, cherry red lips.

"Yes. How may I help you, miss..."

"Thompson. Nicolette Thompson," she answered with a slightly raised eyebrow.

Finishing up a report I was working on, my attention went back to continuing my once-over of the stranger in my doorway after clicking save. Emerald green suede flats with half of a large golden butterfly on each. Similarly colored tapered khakis that stopped above the ankle. A cream-colored cami that perfectly framed the subtle rise and fall of her breasts with each breath. And topping it all off, a smart, camel-colored slim-fitting blazer.

Got damn, she looks good without even try---...

"Steve, did you catch that request from legal? Oh, I'm sorry," said another one of my co-workers from the travel team. Walking in with a conversation on ready, set. "Don't let him intimidate you. Steve's bark is definitely worst than his bite," he said. "Hey, you take it easy on the new hire okay," he added. Turning his attention from her back to me.

"I'll call you when I'm done," I replied as he walked back out. "Ms. Thompson, close the door would you."

Doing as she was instructed, I pressed the lever and lowered my desk to standard height. Seeming to trigger Nicolette to move from my visitor's chair over to a spot of exposed wood on my desk. Easing back some, she reached for my coffee that was now cold and brought it to her lips. Sipping at first, her non-verbal sign of approval was punctuated by her eyes closing and a seductive mmmph, that sent my mind racing a hundred miles a minute to a week ago.

"So that's what we're doing now?"

"What?" she replied.

"You know we keep endless amounts of coffee in the break room on every floor."

I walked around the desk and stood between her legs. Playing with the natural curls that fell over the left side of her face from her swept-up hairstyle. Instinctively she wrapped those same legs around me, pulling me closer.

"But yours always taste so good."

Her hand eased behind my head as she brought my lips to hers. And our tongues stirred through caffeinated tinged want. Creating a need for a re-feel.
