After a few days, I reached a payphone without getting noticed by any Niflheim MTs or really anyone. I put some change into the phone that I found on the ground. Just enough.
I push the numbers as I held the phone to my head. I kept tapping my finger on the metal around the payphone. "C'mon...c'mon..." I mumble impatiently. I didn't get an answer. I groan before slamming the phone back in its slot, and as soon as I did it rings.
"Who is this?" His voice asks from the other side.
"Noct...Where are you?" I ask as I can feel how broken my voice sounds.
"Astrid!" His voice answers in surprised. "Where are you? Are you okay? We'll get you."
"I'll come to you, where are you?" I ask once again, ignoring the question about how I am.
"Lestallum, how far are you?" He says, "I'll see you in a day or two. Bye Noct." With that before h can say anything, I hung up.
