hoseok flopped back onto his sofa letting out a tired sigh. his grip on the letter, that had brought tears to his eyes, loosening before it fell to the ground. just at that moment he heard the door to his small shared apartment open then close, alerting him that his flat mate was home.
"hoseok? are you home?" jungkook called out.
"living room." hoseok mumbled, barely mustering out a response.
"oh hyung, what happened?" the younger asked as he was greeted by sight of hoseok slumped on the sofa with a clear look of defeat plastered across his face.
"i failed. again." hoseok whispered, the feeling of embarrassment creeping through his body.
"maths?" the younger asked as he too sat on the sofa, pulling his friend into an awkward side hug.
hoseok simply nodded as he tried to wipe his eyes slightly before mumbling about how he thought 'he had it this time.' then a thought hit jungkook.
"why don't you get a tutor?" he suggested. "i even know someone who probably wouldn't charge you!"
"really?"
"yeah! he helped me a little with my physics and in return i helped him a bit with photography." jungkook explained, proud of himself for making hoseok wipe the frown off of his face.
"got his phone number?"
