Hello Again

"That sounds great!"

"After you!" He exclaimed, signing towards the bathrooms.

"Oh right!"

I walked with him towards the bathroom. It wasn't that awkward, just the tiny part that I just didn't have to go to the bathroom, but it would've been insane for me to say I was just coming to say hi.

We split as he entered the bathroom. I hesitated to enter, but I needed some grounding. I washed my hands and looked at my reflection. All that just happened was unreal, it was as if I was dreaming it all. He was there. I saw him again. I never thought I would. I was working in an office with him before my name was all around the country on billboards, media, television. I am not famous, but my name is out there. We, even then, were not in each other's lives completely. Two different people, two different jobs in the same company. We found a middle when I got a promotion and our teams had a lot of interaction. We started talking, hanging out when we could, and that led us to our little piece of heaven. After I quit my job to pursue my dream, I thought our worlds were never meant to collide again.

I ran out of the bathroom before I could dig deeper into my mind and drive myself crazy. Conveniently, Andrew walked out the door at the same time. He smiled at me and said, "so we meet again."

"I guess we do." I said.

"So... Are you joining us later?" He asked, "I would really love it if you did, no pressure though."

"I will, just wait for me a little," I said and I remembered he told me that once. I couldn't back then, and he couldn't either; our lives were already taking a big turn and we didn't know.

"I will do," he smiled and stared at me before he walked back to his table.

I walked back to mine where Robin was waiting with a big smile. They didn't even let me sit, "What was all that?" Robin asked, "I needed popcorn, that was good, right? It had to be good! You even headed to the bathroom with him."

"It was confusing, yeah good, but weird, but great."

"Wow, great? What did you do in the bathroom?"

"What?" I tried not to shout, "he was in his, I went to just wash my hands and gather all of my thoughts. It was not so weird before we went there; it was weird coming out of there... So many things left unsaid, they were there when he smiled and—"

"You really have to tell me what happened, Jo," Robin interrupted me, "how long has it been? How did you meet? High school sweethearts?"

"Slow down, Robin!" I giggled, "we used to work at the same company. I decided to have a corporate job to save money while I was in community theater, working on my résumé and reel with any job I could get.

"I knew some people who worked with him and I had lunch with them. The first time we talked was at a lunch they had as a team, and since I was on my own, my friends invited me. I had friends on my team, but we had lunch at different hours. Anyway, turns out his friends, who are actually here with him," I said signing towards their table with my thumb, "were theater fans. They love entertainment, so from there we became friends. I wasn't interested in Andrew at the beginning, it took a while, but when I did, it caught me off guard."

"Okay, so? You're really keeping me on my toes here!"

"I'm getting there!" I exclaimed and continued, "there was a party, New Years Eve. His friends invited me. It was like they knew something since they wouldn't stop telling me how awesome it would be. I remember Andrew coming after they invited me to tell me that I was in no obligation to attend, but that he would like it if I did, that they all would since we've become friends and they wanted to also celebrate me getting a role I really wanted. Turns out I just couldn't wait to go, and I realized it was because of Andrew. It built up slowly; it was really in all the details. He liked me, I suspected it since he brought me orchids in a pot after my first Into the Woods show in community theater. First of all, he went to the show when he isn't much into fairytales, and then the flowers in a pot, not cut." I smiled.
