"Why?" JT wondered aloud, allowing the girl to explain herself, "Oh, you know. Everyone knows you're going to be famous one day, so I just want to say I interviewed you first." She excused

"Cool." JT nodded, a little confused as the group watched Liberty walk off with a large smile on her face, as the preteens began to tease him, "JT and Liberty kissing in a tree. K-I-S-S-I-N-G."

"Would you shut up? She does not have a crush on me." He groaned, glaring at the people around him

The group continued their walk to English class, when Emma pulled the shorter blonde behind the rest of the group. Baby looked up at her friend noticing a taunting smile on her face, "You so have a crush on JT."

"I do not." Baby Roberts wildly argued, laughing with her out of line friend, making the tall girl argue her point further, "Oh, come on! You don't think I heard what you mumbled when Liberty was talking to him? Just admit it." She teased

"I do not." The girl swore, ending the conversation as she ran to catch up with the group heading into the classroom

Sitting in English, the gang sat quietly as they listened to Sean's haiku about hating poetry. The class found the boy's poem as funny as it was creative, and it was plenty of each

"A haiku, about hating poetry. Since poetry is about putting your feelings into verse, this haiku actually works. Nice job, Sean." Ms. Kwan complimented

Liberty stood up and made her way to the front of the class to recite hers, smiling at JT before opening her journal, "Smile like a sun beam, height subordinate to his heart, makes me lay awake."

The blonde rolled her eyes, looking over at her best friend who looked extremely creeped out, "Kill me."

THE NEXT DAY, JT, TOBY, AND BABY      walked the halls, discussing the fact that Ashley's birth father was a gay man, which confused JT Yorke, "I'm sorry, I just don't get it. How can Ash's dad like do it with other guys? Not only that. How does he?"

"I don't know, JT. I didn't ask." Toby groaned, rubbing his temple in annoyance

"Women, real women, okay? Not girls are sexy." JT decided, making his blonde friend argue with him, "This is why you can't get a girlfriend." She teased, making him stick his tongue out at her and advance his point further, "But guys? I mean we have muscles, we smell, we have body hair."

"You wish you had muscles or body hair." Baby Roberts shot in return, refusing to acknowledge the boy's ridiculous point

"Women can have body hair too. My aunt Tina has a-" Toby started, before his friend quickly interrupted him, "That's not what I mean."

"I don't know, JT. Some people are just gay, I guess. So how'd your interview with Liberty go?" Toby decided, finally changing the topic of the trio's discussion, "Don't ask. Don't tell."

The two boys continued their journey down the school steps, leaving the girl to her path to join Emma Nelson, Manny Santos, and Liberty Van Zandt at one of the picnic tables

Liberty was staring at JT, who was now sitting on the steps, laughing at something his friend had said while revealing all the food in his mouth and around his face, encouraging his blonde friend to shout to him from across the yard, "Ew. JT, use a napkin."
