"Aye, we gotta go in Sears and get a booster seat for him." Izzy said to Ty as he sat down with Elijah waiting for the shoes.

"I'm not a baby." Elijah said.

Ty laughed as Izzy shook his head.

A girl came out the back with Elijah's shoes. Izzy was checking her out and looked at Ty. They smirked at each other.

"Hi." Elijah said to the girl.

"Hi, cutie." She said. "You wanna try your shoes on to make sure they fit?"

"Yeah." He said. "Daddy, I'm trying on my shoes."

"I see that." Izzy said.

"Your son is so cute, looks just like you." She said.

"Thank you." Both Elijah and Izzy said.

Ty and the girl laughed. When the girl finished she told him to stand. Elijah started walking around.

"Do they hurt?" She asked.

"No." Elijah said.

"You like them?" Izzy asked.

"Yes" he said smiling.

"Okay, pick out the other shoes you want." Izzy said.

Elijah began to pick up shoes with the help of Ty. Izzy stood with the girl.

"So your name is Amber." He said.

"What?" She asked.

"Your name tag." He said pointing towards it.

She laughed.

"Oh yeah, and yours?" She asked.

"Izzy." He said.

"Is that your real name?" She asked.

"A nickname." He said smiling.

"You gonna tell me your real name?" She asked.

"Some where down the line." He said.

"Down the line?" She asked.

"Yep." Izzy said smiling.

"Daddy! I got'em!" Elijah said.

Izzy looked and Elijah and Ty had about ten shoes. Izzy looked at Amber.

"Can you get those in his size?" Izzy asked.

"So you got it like that?" She asked.

"You could say that." He said smiling.

"So the baby was just on the porch?" Killa asked.

"Yep." Diva said as she inhaled the blunt and passed it.

"Damn, that's crazy." Chelle said. "So what did you do to Izzy?"

"What could I do? He didn't know." Diva asked.

"Where the bitch that left him there?" Killa asked.

"If I find her I'm fucking her up on sight." Diva said. "I mean that shit and he said she didn't like him."

"That girl was fucked up." Chelle said. "Maybe he'll be better off here."

"Yeah, but Jazzy is my last child." Diva said. "Izzy is gonna raise that boy."

"So what's the lil boy like?" Killa asked.

"He damn sure ain't shy." Diva said laughing. "A lil charmer already, look like Izzy but it's something in his eyes like, I don't know."

"Maybe he already been through some stuff." Chelle said.

"Probably." Diva said.

After they finished talking and smoking they went back in the house and saw all these bags on the couch.

"Grandma, look, new shoes!" Elijah said.

Diva cursed in her head, grandma, sounded so old.

"Let me see." She said matching his excitement.

He showed her.

"Elijah, this is Killa and Chelle." She said.

"Hi." He said smiling.

"Awe, he's so cute." Chelle said.

"Thank you." He said.

"Alright, go back to your daddy." She said.

Chelle and Killa looked at her.

"Grandma." They said.

"Don't start." Diva said.

"Did y'all get his booster seat?" Diva asked.

"Uhhh-"

"Uhm-"

"What! I told you one thing!" Diva said.

"We playing, we got it in the car." Ty said.

Diva rolled her eyes and walked away with Chelle and Killa. Elijah sat by Ty and his dad.

"Elijah, you gotta know one thing living here." Ty said.

"What's that?" He asked.

Ty looked at Izzy.

"Don't mess with Grandma and Papa okay, cause if you get in trouble with them I can't even help you. Got it?" Izzy said.

"Uh huh." He said.

Izzy watched him go through the bag and play with different toys. It was amazing and Izzy knew it was gonna be a big responsibility but he was ready for the challenge.
