It's been a day since Michael came back. He's been adjusting pretty well. He hasn't gone into town yet, so he thinks nobody really knows he's here.

He hasn't officially moved in with Hayden yet, but he wants to, to be with her and his son. But not yet.

He doesn't have a place to stay anymore though, so he stays at either Hayden or his mother's place for the time being

Hayden came out the bathroom after freshening up and went into her living room, stopping in her tracked, seeing Michael just laying on the couch with the TV on. She had to get used to seeing him here.

She crossed her arms and shook her head. "Michael did you really have to sleep on the couch?" She questioned chuckling lightly to herself in her heavy purple robe

Michael stretched his arms, rubbing his eyes a little nodding his head. "Yeah. I ain't think you'd want me to sleep wit' you since I just came back."

She stared at him in a daze. "Of course I wouldn't mind if you slept with me. Why not?" She asked, furrowing her brows

He looked around, scratching the back of his neck. "Well...'cause..."

"Michael it's fine. I'm not uncomfortable around you. You don't have to limit yourself from me." She assured him, walking to the kitchen soon after.

He lifted himself lazily from the couch and followed her there and leaned against the countertop in deep thought—staring off into the distance

He exhaled deeply a little and focused on reality again. "You okay?" Hayden asked, noticing his stress as she brought out some pancake mix and chocolate chips

He glanced at her and licked his lips before nodding his head, waving it off. "Yeah I'm good." He said, but
she knew that isn't all true

He stared at her for a little while still admiring how beautiful she is. She hasn't changed.

"Can I get a kiss?" He asked her cocking a brow. She scratched the back of her neck and blushed a little, catching her off guard. She lightly dropped the spoon she used the batter and faced him but in a timid manner.

"Mmh." She hummed and awkwardly leaned into him making him just laugh. "You scared to kiss me now?" He teased as she just rolled her eyes smiling, swatting him on his chest

"No I'm not." She denied

"Yeah you are." He rolled his eyes back with a smile. "I ain't change Hayden. I'm the same old Michael you've always known."

She nodded quickly, biting her pointer finger. "I know..." she timidly said and he just laughed again stealing a kiss from her anyway, despite her shyness

They went quiet for some time before she spoke up again. "Y'know....I don't think it's good for you to be here." She soon sighed as she continued to prepare  breakfast for the early morning. The kitchen began to smell delicious with fumes of chocolate and pancake batter.

Michael furrowed his brows and looked over at her again. "Watchu mean?"

"I mean....people are really mad at you for what you did. People could...kill you. You may not be safe." She worried. She kept her eyes on the stove and didn't look up for a reaction.

He just smiled a little and shook his head. "Nothin' gon' happen. I know I'm prolly the most hated one in town right now, but I ain't lettin' anything happen to me." He assured her and she just sighed again trusting him on this one
