“Hey my loves.” I hugged and kissed them.

“Oooooo she is so pretty.” They all admired Sata.

“You had a baby?” Cha exclaimed super surprised.

“Yeah.”

“What’s her name?”

“Assata.”

“Aww she is so adorable.” Cha asked if she could hold her and I agreed.

“You know this was supposed to be you and Aug right? Hey baby.” She put her forehead to Assata’s.

“Thank you so much for supporting us. Can I bring some gifts by for the girls tomorrow?”

“Yeah of course.”

“Babe we gotta go.” Nate got out the limo and came over to me.

“Nate this is my goodfriend Chandra.”

“Nice to meet you.” He shook her hand.

“Girls say hello to the mayor.” Cha urged them to speak.

“Hi.” They all said shyly.

“Hi guys.” He shook all their hands.

“I wanna be Mayor too.” Noonie said loud.

“Well you call me when you graduate from college and I’ll make that happen alright?”

She shook her head.

“This your daughter?” Kay asked.

Nate looked at me, then at her. “Yes.”

“She sorta look like my uncle.” Kay said innocently.

“Kay stop being rude.” Cha hit her.

“Kids.” Nate gave an awkward laugh.

“I’m sorry about that.” Cha looked at me and Nate.

“It’s okay. You guys be good alright?”

They all shook their head.

“Babe.” Nate looked at me, then headed to the limo.

“I’ll see you guys tomorrow.” I told them.

I gave everybody a hug and then got in the limo. It drove off, but I remembered I didn’t give Cha my new number. But since she said it was alright. It shouldn’t be a problem to just drop by.

AUGUST P.O.V. –

“Amb.” I called after her laughing. I stopped for a moment looking up at the sky. I gave a salute to my big bro. I imagined he was the star shining brightest.

“I found that shit Mel. I found that shit. And a nigga ain’t letting go.”

“Uncle Aug.” Kay whispered into the IPAD.

“Shouldn’t you be sleep?” I asked her. She had snuck into the living room to facetime me.

“Why you up?”

“I miss you. When you gon be here?”

“I’m trying to decide.”

“Well you need to hurry up.” She moved her head.

“Ey watch your mouth girl, I’m your uncle.”

“Sorry.” She smiled.

“So what you been up to?”

“Nothing. Just playing since I ain’t got school.”
