Savitri devi was a woman in her early seventies dressed impeccably in white silk sari with golden border. She gazed through the window at the lush green farms as she crossed the countryside road. The freshness of the greenery and natural surroundings away from the concrete jungle she had been living gave peace to her heart. She smiled to herself thinking about her main intention to be back to her roots.

The car screeched to a halt breaking her train of thoughts. The car stopped outside the big iron gates of the old familiar haveli. She looked at the old traditional house, same as she had visited years ago. The same smell of village revitalized her senses.

It had been years that she had settled with her husband in Delhi to expand their family business of machine parts. Slowly and steadily both of them had made the business flourish, soon to be joined by her hard working son who expanded the business all over the country. After the sudden demise of her son, she had been very lonely but to her surprise her young Grandson proved to be better than the best and always crossed his last achievement level. She took a deep breath to relish old memories. No matter what pinnacle she reached she never let go of old ties and tried to maintain them with the same emotion.

She was going to a marriage of granddaughter of an old acquaintance and had decided to halt at her husband's old friend, Sukhdev handa's residence. But her intention was more than just meeting the Handa family. She was here bride hunting for her darling grandson.

Sukhbir, the elder son of Sukhdev came rushing out to greet Savitri on the patio. Sasriyakal ji. Please come in, Daarji is waiting for you.

She entered the large drawing room which was humbly decorated and met the old man. Sukhdev was a rich family man maintaining his farms with the help of his two sons. He was a respected man in the pind and held his family strong with his strict rules and traditional values.

As soon as Savitri found daarji alone after the initial formalities she directly came to the point and shared her anxiety with him.

This boy is always into work. All he loves is his office. She whined as she sipped her tea from the beautiful porcelain cup.

Hahaha.. The old man laughed gregariously. Don't you like this? Most parents wish for such thing. Moreover it is not a bad habit. The company must be making profit.

No no that way Im blessed. He is not into any bad habits. Sincere and very hardworking. He has taken the company to a new stature. She said smilingly.

Then why do you want a village girl for him? Daarji asked offering her some sweets.

Look I have suggested many girls to him and he is too good at finding flaws. So now it is my duty to not only find a good girl for him but get him married before I die. The lady made a grim face attracting sympathy from the old man.

Why do you say so. May God give you long and happy life. But will a small town girl cope with the fast life of your grandson?

Why not? He is not very party or socializing type. He is workaholic and likes things his way. I think a girl brought up with traditional values will have more patience to adjust to his behavior and endure his workaholic self. To convince the old man she added. Dont you think girls of your place are more understanding and adjusting.
