Mysterious Feelings

(A/N Plot twist)

Ruby's pov

I walked around Y/N's house, bored although worried so i decided to look for Blake to ask her some questions.

Finding her in the kitchen crouched down for some reason i approached her and tapped her on the shoulder.

She jumped but placed a hand on her chest and let out a breath before turning to me.

Blake: What is it Ruby?

Me: I was curious... if we found a way back, you would come with us right?

Blake:... I-

?: What's going on here

We turned to see Yang walking in, Blake stood up and she was holding a food bowl for an animal?

Blake: I found this in his kitchen

Yang: Do you think it might be for a dog?

Blake froze before she shuddered at the thought of Y/N owning a dog

Me: It can't be a dog, maybe he has a cat

Blake: But we've never seen it

?: Never seen what?

We looked to see Weiss holding a book, no doubt curious at why we were huddled in the kitchen.

Yang: We think he might have a cat because of this food bowl Blake found

Weiss: But we've never seen it

Blake: That's what i said

Me: Maybe it's... y'know

They looked at me confused but it seemed that Weiss realised what i ment

Weiss: That's probably the case

Quickly Blake and Yang caught on making our expressions drop.

Yang: Do you think this is why he always seems so depressed?

Blake: It's probably part of it, i found out that we was dumped around a week or two ago

Hearing the front door open we panicked, Blake quickly placed the bowl away and we scattered.

Y/N's pov

I walked in and heard rattling from the kitchen, sighing i scratched the back of my head and took off my coat.

Me: I'll never get used to the cold...

Hanging it up i walked through my house to see the girls in the front room, Weiss was holding a book trying to look normal however she was holding the book upside down.

Shrugging i moved past them and went towards my bedroom, i yawned and stretched my arms upwards while shuffling through the halls.

I looked out the window to my back garden and frowned when i spotted her stone in the ground.

Hearing footsteps behind me i turned to see Blake who looked nervous

Me: Hey

Blake: Hey...

Me: You told the others?

Blake: Oh, n-not yet

Me: Then what is it?

She rubbed her arm and looked away as her bow flattened slightly, she was looking into the garden but either didn't see it or didn't bother to set it up.

Blake: I'm wondering if... you'd... *sigh* go on a-

Yang: Blake we need you for something!

She turned and we looked down the hall to see Yang looking slightly panicked and angry?

Blake: Okay. I'll ask you later Y/N

Me: Okay then

Blake walked away as Yang approached me for some reason, i looked at her confused but she sighed

She looked behind her to wait until Blake was gone until she spoke

Yang: How do you feel about Blake?

Me: She... she's good company and even though she has her problems she always seems to do her best to not make others worry

Yang: Would you... ever date her?

Me: Where's this coming from?

Yang crossed her arms and gave me a bored look

Yang; Just answer the question

Me: I'd... be lucky to have her

Yang: ...Take care of her

She tapped my chest lightly before walking away leaving me confused yet having a sense of mysterious closure.

I shook my head and walked into my bedroom before taking off my shirt. Why did she say that?

She's been like a team mom to them so did she give me her blessing or something? I swear those girls are going to cause some major damage

I heard something behind my door which was slightly ajar so i opened it, Ruby stood there and saw me before looking away embarrassed.

Grabbing a shirt i slipped it on and crossed my arms as i stared down a nervous Ruby, was she spying on me?

Me: Why were you outside my door?

Ruby: I know what you're doing... and i won't let you break my team up

Me: What?

Ruby: You stay away from Blake, i may not look like it but back in Remnant i was a huntress. A-And i won't just stand by

Me: I'm not trying to to hurt any-

Ruby: Yes you are!

She suddenly got serious and took a step forward as her eyes shimmered and glowed slightly.

Being shocked by this i took a small step back, do they have powers or something?

Ruby: As soon as we can, we're going back to Remnant. All of us, as a team. You won't be able to hurt us that way!

As strange heat began to eminate from her as i held my hands up slightly. She must have heard our conversation

Ruby: You got it!?
