When I was little you would hold my hand
Lead the way
Tell me that you'd always stayWhen I was little you'd sing me songs,
Tell me that I'd always belong.I thought that I had it all-
Until it all went wrongI was numb
Hiding
Blind
To even my own surpriseI didn't have anyone to hold my hand
To lead the way
To tell me when I shouldn't stray.I threw myself in every direction
Looking for a little attention.I grew taller but inside I was becoming smaller
I hunched and hid and kept out of the way
Maybe I still do todayUntil little parts of me were gone
And I'm left with that feeling that I don't belong.
