Hero Named Hiro (Chapter 10)

Start from the beginning

"Sorry," the teens mumble.

"Please do not wander off without telling me or Amy again. It is not restrictions, it is precaution," Ku breaks into a guilty smile. "This organization or whatever they may be...clearly want something with you six."

"Yeah, so uh, be a little smarter next time," Amy rolls her eyes. "I feel like I'm dealing with five year olds."

"Well, with those two, kinda," Brenton points to Alex and Ava next to him. Owen, Sasha, and Urana stifle their laughter as Alex and Ava slowly realize that Brenton meant them.

"Hey!" Alex and Ava tackle Brenton and he nearly falls flat on his face.

"It is time to try on your robes!" Ku clear his throat and they instantly stop. "Here are some options on the couch, feel free to choose any of your liking."

"Um, how do we know which one to choose?" Urana questions.

"Choose whichever one you like," Sasha answers. "They're robes, not a male and female separate thing."

"Cool," Owen and Urana look at each other then reach for the pile of robes.

"Ooo, we should mess with the color code," Sasha suggests.

"Yeah, can I wear this silver one?" Alex holds up a jet black robe with a silver collar and hems.

"Then I'm gonna wear this golden one!" Ava holds up a robe with similar style with gold instead of silver.

"Blue? It's a nice color," Owen holds up a robe with a blue collar and blue hems.

"Green isn't half bad either," Urana nods her head, admiring the robe in her hands. "I'll wear it better than Owen."

"I'll wear blue better than you."

"Gotta say, red brings out my eyes," Sasha looks satisfied with the red of the robe.

"Okay, purple and a redhead?" Brenton raises an eyebrow. "Coach, you know this isn't going to work."

"It'll be fine," Amy and Sasha say at the same time.

"I'm willing to give it a shot," Brenton looks skeptical, remembering all the things he's heard about redheads and purple.

"Purple compliments red, did you not take art class sparky?" Sasha grins at Brenton.

"I guess I didn't," Brenton shrugs.

After a whole lot of changing robe styles, they ended up buying the first robes they tried on. The entirety of their shopping experience was either high tech, or magic filled.

"These robes can clean themselves," the clerk tells them with a hint of pride in their voice. The group of eight walks out with a bubble full of robes. Everyone else around them have bigger and fuller bubbles.

"Now then, let's get your hair done, like you can't meet the Magic Council like this," Amy points to their hairs.

"What's wrong with my beautiful spikes?" Brenton flashes a smile to himself in the mirror.

"Professionalism geniuses," Amy groans. "Sensei, at this rate, I'm not gonna have enough time to get ready myself!"

"Calm down, I will take them Amy. You get ready," Ku waves his hand.

"Nuh-uh, you're gonna get their hair ruined," Amy turns to the teens and pats their heads gently. "Don't worry little ones, I'll make sure you all get your hair done perfectly."

"We're not kids!" The teens grumble.

--

Turns out they had enough time for everyone to get ready. Ku, with his robe of silver and black, opens the door to the meeting room.

Amy is already waiting with her siblings, wearing a green and black robe and her hair done in a neat bun. The teens all stare in awe at the beauty of the room.

The room has a pond around a huge round table in the middle. Walls of polished, white marble has a white dome for a roof.

Gold bands line the pillars and small lights are implanted into the marble ground. In front of them is a group of mages from different races.

Power radiated off of these mages and the teens couldn't help but feel intimidated by their magic energy.

"Elemental Masters, meet the Magic Council," Ku gestures to the group of mages. The teens look taken a back by being called 'Elemental Masters' but go along with it.

"Good morning Elemental Masters," a fairy steps up to them first. She looks elderly but that didn't stop her brown hair from being in a neat bun. The fairy's brown eyes meets each of the teens as she shakes their hands. Her accent reminds the teens of a British person, her skin tone darker than Alex's.

"I am Brianiz," she is dressed in robes of magenta. One of her hand is holding a wand that must be at least fifteen inches of pure magenta-colored crystal. "Fairy of the brain. Female pronouns."

"I'm Ciana!" A woman who seems like Alex, Ava, and Quill comes up next. Her robes are brown and orange and her skin tone is a native brown. Her yellow cat eyes give away that she's a Catalis who looks like a tiger, black stripes on her skin and a large build. Ciana has orange hair that reaches her shoulders and is straight. Her accent reminding the teens of a South Asian one. "Female pronouns."

"Zar," a male with black and white robes that cover his lower face comes over next, black horns curl at the end of his head. He has dark features and is tall but his companions are just as tall and lean. Red eyes are the only visible color other than his small ponytail, he looks up from his cloak and everything lightens up about him. A Vietnamese accent. "Male pronouns."

"Zara," a female in turquoise robes greets them next. Long, blonde hair flows down to her chest as she looks over at the teens with striking purple eyes. Turkish accent. "Female pronouns."

"Astrid," another female comes over, her robes colored indigo. Long fangs are noticeable against her pale skin, and her hair is covered by an indigo scarf. Arabic accent. "Female pronouns."

"Connor," a male with almost gray-ish skin and blue robes comes up next. With yellow eyes and fluffy, dark blue hair and curved fangs, Sasha identifies that he's a werewolf. Despite being known as violent by the teens, Connor has features that make him look innocent. American accent. "Male pronouns."

"Destin," a male with an eye patch over his right eye and a big build comes up. He looks elderly too, like Brianiz. He has messy silver hair and bright hazel eyes that match his gray robes. Nigerian accent. "Male pronouns."

"I may be last but I'm not the least, my name is Aaron," a male with pointy ears and a gold colored robe comes up next. He has a kind smile that reflects his soft features. Long, silver hair is tied back in a loose ponytail and he has gray eyes along with tan skin. Spanish accent. "Male pronouns."

"Ah, and there is our guest of honor," Brianiz looks over at a male coming in. He has short brown hair and warm, mud brown eyes along with matching skin tone to Ku. The mage is wearing brown frames and pushes them up while adjusting his brown robe.

"Hi, I'm the hero named Choicemaker, my real name is Hiro," Hiro smiles kindly with a slight bow. He's shaking but he's trying.
