Chapter 25

"Yes, painfully so." she admitted with a chuckle, where had her brilliant idea been to were new shoes without having worn them once before. Not her best idea, well she'd done, she better life with it. "Thanks tif." she said as she got out of the car and Walter one of the people from the castle walked up to her with a pair of slippers, something Meghan and Harry were going to provide everyone with.

"Thanks Walter, you're a lifesaver." she told him as she gave him a small smile. "You're welcome." he told her as she headed inside and ran up the stairs to where Louis was sleeping. Walking into the room she threw her shoes to the side as she'd heard Louis crying from the distance. Zara's nanny had taken over the care for the wedding, but Louis didn't seem to be so happy about it. "Let me." Kate whispered in a soft tone as Grace was all to happy to hand over the 3 week old baby to her.

"it's alright sweetheart, I'm here, it's alright." Kate whispered softly as she walked around the room, rocking him in her arms as Grace told her she'd just checked his diaper and nothing was wrong. "Can you heat a bottle?" she asked Grace as she continued to walk around the room before sitting down in the nursing rocking chair and used her feet to push her back and forth as Grace handed her the bottle. Catherine had prepared herself pumping this week in case she wanted to drink something after all and she could. She thanked Grace and immediately started to feed him and gulped at the bottle as she looked down at the little man in her arms. She'd been so focussed on the baby she hadn't even heard the door open and Glen walk in. She looked up when she heard a noise and saw Glen watching her leaning against the door frame, looking at her.

"hey." she smiled as Glen walked into the room and crouched down beside her on the rocking chair. "hey love." Glen whispered, kissing the side of her head as he cupped the back of Louis's head resting in her elbow. "he's a hungry little lad." Glen snickered as he finished his bottle in a record time as he lay a bib over her shoulder.

"He is." Kate agreed as she switched the baby to her shoulder and patted his back. Both her and Glen let out a chuckle when he let out quite a big burp. "That's a good boy." Kate whispered, kissing the side of his head as she walked around the room, rocking at the knees as watched him doze off in her arms, before laying him down in his cot and covering him with the sheet.

"Can't wait till our little one is here." Glen whispered in her ear as he covered her teeny tiny bump with his large hand and she turned to him with a smile on her face. "Me neither, it's nice I get to live through it with you this time." Kate admitted, turning to him and wrapping her arms around his neck. "me to love, I'm sorry I missed so much with Arthur." he whispered, rubbing his thumb back and forth against the side of her neck.

"It's all in the past, we can only move on from now on." Kate told him as she tilted her head to the side and kissing his lips, careful not to ruin the hat in her hair. "True." he agreed, rubbing his thumbs back and forth on her side, but their moment got interrupted when Kate and William walked in.

"He's just had his bottle." Kate assured both Catherine and William as Glen picked Arthur up and gave him a kiss on his cheek before congratulating him on behaving. "We should probably go down, gran will be cross if we don't." William pointed out as they left the children in the capable hands of Maria and headed downstairs. When they walked in the big hall, it was filled to the brim with people. It didn't take long before someone had found them for the wedding pictures and even Kate had been dragged along. Harry wanted a few with his sister in it as well, they wouldn't be released or that's what they had told her at the time so she was all to happy to do it. Mind her that she would chase him down the gardens of KP later when she discovered he had released one with her in it.

With that taken care off they all returned to the guests and mingled. Harry comandeered Glen when someone questioned if anyone could play an instrument and sing. It had been fun to see her fiancé sat with Elton John as they sung together and played on the piano. "He's a talented man." Elizabeth noted beside her as Kate nearly flew through the roof from being surprised. "That isn't good for my heart." Kate pointed out, her hand on her chest with a chuckle as Elizabeth stood snickering beside her.
