Things were hotting up for Elvis by June of 1956. He'd appeared on national television, his last single for sun records had hit number 1 on billboard's national country singles chart. Elvis presley, had reached number 1 in the album chart.
Everywhere Elvis went, the crowds got bigger and increasingly hysterical, until some shows had to be abandoned due to fans storming the stage.
