Kate's POV:

"Kate, you are awake, I can't believe it" Alec said with great happiness in his eyes, he looked like a 5 years old having a new toy; he was broken, his hand and his foot but, he was walking as if there was no casts at all

"Alec" I murmured, a warm tear fell from my eye to touch my hand

"No don't cry baby" he rushed and sat next to me; "Everything will be Ok" he reassured me holding my hand and kissing it, his lips were soft and tender "Actually, everything is Ok, now that you have recovered" he leaned forward and kissed my cheek

"Alec" I said hugging him "where is mom, I have a bad feeling, is she Ok"

"Kate sweetheart, she will be here in no time" he hugged me tighter, I really was worried, I have the 6th sense of my mother it was never wrong before,

we talked for a while then a doctor came and whispered something to Alec

"Amy sweetheart I will be back, just wait a little" he said in a hurry

"Amy?" How could he "Is my mom Ok" I asked quickly; he stopped and turned back

"Come with me" and I did as he asked

Alec's POV:

I was really happy that Kate could make it, but I didn't want her to see her mother lying on the bed with serum attached to her left hand, I wanted her to be happy and never get sad

"Mother! What happened to her tell me" she asked eagerly

"She will be Ok, don't worry madam" the doctor said  "A car almost hit her, but she was apparently having bad times, her body is too weak, the man outside bought her here, don't worry she'll be good by tomorrow" and he got out of the room; I followed him so I can meet the good man and thank him for taking care of my mother-in-law, Kate stayed in the room beside mom

"Thank you Mr. for bringing her here" I said 

"My pleasure, besides she is a dear friend" he said with a sad smile

"A friend? You are?" I had a deep feeling in my heart that he has something to do with her lost love

"Are you her son?"

"Um no her son-in-law; but tell me who are you sir?"

"Jake, my name is Jake"

"Noah's best friend?"

"You know about Noah?" he posed "I thought she won't tell anyone about him, she hated him for so long I do believe"

"Excuse me sir, but she didn't hate him, in fact she is still deeply in love with him, but I for one, not a big fan of his;"

"look kid, I really need to talk to her when she wakes up so please give her this" he handed me a card

"Ok sure; thanks again"

he went away and I entered the room

"Who is Noah?" Kate asked me tears in her eyes "She keeps saying his name, please if you know anything I don't tell me"

"I sure do" I smirked as I walked closer to her, held her chin with my hand and leaned closer my eyes locked with hers "I love you Kate, don't you ever leave me again" then I hugged her

"Noah; so you want to know it all; it's going to be a long night"....

It has been a month since we returned home, Kate and Alec are now doing great they are living 5 streets past me; so I am now on my own
