"Thanks." She replied with a smile, her uncomfortableness soon fading. "You know, you wouldn't look too bad in one yourself."

"They're not really my thing; never really were. Even when they were a big thing a couple of centuries ago."

At those words, an abrupt thought seemed to surface in her mind, one she couldn't help but ask about. "How... how old are you?" Damon and Stefan listening intently for her reply, finding themselves similarly curious.

"Around the same age as you," Olivia replied, purposely missing her question.

"You know what I mean."

Liv didn't make a response to her words, simply shifting her gaze towards Stefan and Damon briefly who were visibly listening into their conversation in addition to observing them... her... calculating. "I should probably get going, I'd rather not be here when those two come over here. I mean Stefan's bearable but that Damon guy..." Olivia began, making her excuse to leave all the while thinking of the right word to describe the older Salvatore. "Well, he's a real dick." Stefan couldn't help but smile upon hearing her bluntly honest words whilst Damon glared at the blonde from afar.

"Yeah, he can be like that some of the time," Elena replied. "You know, they're probably listening in right now."

"Oh, they're definitely listening in," Olivia stated, causing both her and Elena to turn their gazes to the Salvatore brothers. The tribrid proceeded to give a brief half-hearted wave to them for a moment, resulting in Damon only getting more visibly frustrated with the blonde, causing both the girls to smile before they turned back to one another.

"Well, I hope you enjoy the celebration," Elena said as she picked up her dress slightly so it would be easier to walk in.

"Unlikely," Olivia began. "I don't know if you've heard but I'm kind of a loner." She finished with a smile as she turned and headed elsewhere, leaving Elena smiling at her words before she headed over to Stefan.

"What's with the soldier look?" Oliver questioned, approaching Tyler who was currently standing by a selection of the floats, assisting several others with the last few preparations for the parade. He was wearing a costume that resembled a soldier and when Olivia walked by and saw him, she couldn't resist but say something about it.

Tyler turned and noticed the blonde's presence behind him. "This just so happens to be my costume for the float," Tyler replied, a smile spreading across his lips at the fact the girl had decided to attend after all.

Olivia quipped a brow up at his words. "You're apart of the parade?" She smiled in amusement causing Tyler to roll his eyes playfully at the girl as they proceeded to walk past the floats, finding themselves unknowingly approaching the Miss Mystic Falls one where Bonnie was taking photos of Caroline and Matt ⏤ both appropriately dressed for the extravagant event.

The perky blonde watched as the two approached from behind Bonnie's shoulder, noticing Olivia smile reluctantly at something Tyler had said, whilst the boy himself laughed at her hesitancy to ever show she was actually enjoying herself. She found it strange the pair were getting along so well and so couldn't help but voice her opinion about it. "Since when did you two become friends?" She asked causing Matt and Bonnie to turn and follow her gaze to the approaching pair.

"I wouldn't say we're friends exactly..." Olivia drifted off, causing Tyler to roll his eyes in exaggerated annoyance.

"I'll be on the float." Matt abruptly announced coldly, immediately beginning to walk away from the small gathering, completely avoiding eye contact with Tyler who merely sighed.
