"WHERE IS MY FUCKING MONEY, LITTLE nerd." Hissed one of the school's bullies. To Rogue, they were all too well recogniseable. They were his old friends before finding out they were just using him.
"I-I don't have the money!" Whimpered Rogue as he was pinned roughly to the wall. "Please! I'll bring you double next week. Just leave me alone!"
Rogue felt hot tears roll down his cheeks. The others laughed at how pathetic he was. They called him little. They mocked him and hit him, whilst reminding him of what he was:  a runt. By the end of it, he body was littered in bruises which would soon be covered skilfully applied with foundation when he returned home. Blood streamed from his mouth and head and his eyes...oh his eyes. He couldn't see anymore. How was he going to get home?
Then, he felt more hot tears emerge from his temporarily blinded eyes. He sobbed and whimpered, quietly praying to God someone would find him and help him; see that he was not fine, but was in agonizing pain that tortured him when he moved just an inch. Why was life so terrible? Why did he deserve this? Why couldn't he be just a normal kid? All his desperate wishes were all just in vain. He could never have those things. Now he'd have to go home and face his parents. His parents. Probably more terrifying than those idiots. Despite the fact that they never hurt him often, their words hurt the most. His father occasionally reminded him of how useless he was in the world and his mother whined and became a bitch about the whole 'gay' situation. Now he was alone in the world. Natsu was living the life with Michelle and Sting. There's no way he'd ever have time for him like he used to, and there's no possible way Michelle and Sting would like to be friends with someone like him; an outcast, clearly not meant for the world.
"You don't have to say just what you did~" sang a voice. Feminine and soothing. Rogue found himself calling out to the voice.
"Help me!" He cried, his voice hoarse. He heard footsteps approaching towards him and he felt arms wrap around his torso.
"Oh my goodness! Rogue!" Whispered the familiar voice. "It's me, Michelle. Oh- Sting and Natsu were looking all over the place for you!"
"Michelle, I can't see. I c-can't see-" sobbed Rogue as he leaned in closer to Michelle. "Everything hurts so bad."
"It's okay now...shh..." said Michelle and she hugged the boy tighter. She needed to help him. She wanted to. She quickly removed one of her arms and reached into her pocket to pull out her phone, then dialled Sting. She told him about their location, about what happened, and about the pale boy's condition. Only, despite the fact he was naturally pale, he was more pale than usual. Natsu and Sting didn't take the matter so well once they caught a glimpse of the boy. Natsu went off to beat the crap out of the dudes who tried to 'rob' Rogue and Sting stayed behind to have a proper look at the crying victim. His face was red and swelled, one of his eyes bled and the other was shut closed because of the swelling caused by a black eye. He shivered terribly at any contact. Not to mention the fact that his arms were littered with plenty of bruises and angry red cuts that expressed his mental condition.
How long has this been going on? Has it been going on for some time now? Or is it that bad that it already led to coping techniques such as cutting? Sting's mind raced like a car. Questions filled his head like water would fill an empty container. His body refused to move when he wanted to just comfort the other male and tell him everything was okay. Everything is going to be okay. However, saying that was like expressing one big lie. It was like saying "The world is flat!" and we all know that the world wasn't flat. Instead, Sting watched as Michelle comforted him- giving him tight, secure hugs and whispering words that screamed "If they hurt you again we'll have them executed" into his ear. Not to mention that his clothes were bloody too. That's also proved how bad his wounds were. Sting growled and followed after Natsu, who looked shocked at Sting's presence.
"Yo, dude. Eh, wanna go bad guy hunting together?" Asked Natsu, giving a mischevious grin. Sting cheekily smiled back in response.
"Well, that's why I'm here, dumbass." Replied Sting, playfully nudging his friend. "Have you seen the state of that kid? They definitely did some damage. They need some beating."
"Some? That's an understatement. You mean, a good lesson-teaching beating that'll make sure they never touch or bother Rogue's ass again."
"Cool. If you don't mind me asking, how did you two meet?"
"It's better if he tells you himself."
          "Oh. Okay then."

Sting and Natsu continued to walk around the halls like securitu guards searching for suspicious induviduals. In their case, their 'suspicious induviduals' were a group of students who thought they were tough enough to surpass Fairy Tail's 'Class for Fighters' or as everyone calls, 'S Class'. Natsu was an S Class not to everyone's surprise, so when he showed up in the middle of their prey's 'meeting' (which was mainly fan-boying over Michelle which made Sting pissed) they begged for forgiveness claiming that they never knew the 'wimpy kid' was his friend and never meant to purposely take money from him. Of course, Natsu being Natsu, he had a talk with them then beat the crap out of them, Sting helping too, of course. Their meeting ended up with the prime suspects being 'apprehended' and 'sent to jail'. Basically meaning they went home crying for their mothers, which both boys found extremely funny and pathetic. Ever since that incident, Rogue went from hurt to worse and even though he never showed his need for help, the famous trio always knew what was hiding behind the boy's mask. They did all they could, including him in everything, inviting him over for dinner or sleepovers and even offered to buy him his own apartment as a refuge from his abusive parents on school holidays (which he later revealed). However, he refused. Now he wished he didn't, because it meant that he could've gotten to know the blonde boy better. Sting Eucliffe, as in his new crush, offered to do so much for him and he refused. It was for the greater good, though. When Rogue thought things could take a turn for the worse, they definitely did because life was the biggest troll for him. When he got back to his dorm a couple of weeks after summer break of 2018, he opened the door only to find his beloved crush and a silver-haired girl on top of him on his own bed. His heart was crushed at an instant. Why did he feel this way? Why was it all so familiar? Why him?
The boy who saved him from debt, his crush, already had a love interest. Her name was enough to get people falling for her. Her name was Yukino, and when Rogue ran away from the school building and jumped over the school's gates, he broke a very serious rule that could've gotten him expelled from school. Permanently. However, he had his reasons. All he had to do was go back to her.
