Burr was just getting back from a meeting with some very important people, when he remembered that he needed a book, and they had just passed a library. He jumped out of the carriage, leaving the driver confused, and ran back to the library. It wasn't very far away from Hamilton's home, and he thought that he was going to go see him later.
He entered the library, and realized that it was the middle of the night, so nobody might be there. He was just going to take it, write a note, and be out of there. But he encountered something else.
He heard the unmistakable voice of John Laurens, and it sounded like there was somebody else with him. He peeled into the room and saw John sitting on a table, laughing.
He assumed that he had encountered John and his sweetheart, and it would be rude to just barge in. He decided that he could just grab it later. He was about to leave when he heard a voice. His blood froze, and his heart stopped for half a second. He couldn't believe it. He didn't know if to report it. But to who? Washington? He heart the voice...
