Lilystar froze as she saw a large tree slowly starting to fall straight on her.
She could hear Snowstar yowling her name close by, and suddenly she was pushed aside.
She turned around to see Snowstar had taken her place right in front of the tree.
Before Lilystar could do anything else, the tree was released from its stump and it crashed on top of Snowstar.
"No!" she yowled. She ran up to him. He was unconscious.
"Snowstar, no..." Lilystar whispered. She pressed her nose to his fur.
Then Lilystar quickly lifted her head as she heard slow pawsteps coming from behind the tree. She hissed as she saw Darkheart dragging himself on the ground., then he disappeared.
"Lilystar," Snowstar coughed. Lilystar jerked her head back to him,"take care of StormClan and ThunderClan for me, you and Brightspirit will lead them well."
Lilystar shook her head. "No, no, no, you're not going to die! You can't! I need you!" she whispered.
Snowstar coughed a few more times and sighed.
"Goodbye, Lilystar." he rasped his last words and then closed his eyes for good.
