my little nervousness disappeared at the sight of a third year senpai with glasses on a familiar face walking out from the kyudojo.

"sorry for calling you out of sudden, motomura-senpai." i said with a polite little bow.

"no need to be sorry," motomura-senpai smiled. "the first years in our club have said that fujiwara is surely kind but never really talk to them much but you, minamoto-san."

shuu is indeed kind but not that sociable..

"then what do you want to tell me? surely not a love confession right? but if it is then i'm honoured." motomura-senpai joked a bit.

"fortunately it is not a love confession, but i want to tell you that fujiwara-kun can't come to today's practice. actually i know the details but he said to keep it myself." i said with a reassuring tone.

"that's unusual.. i heard he's not in his dorm and not answering his phone either," motomura-senpai nodded a few times then lifted his glasses. "but of course it is okay for him to take a day off especially if the reason is that private, please pass my greeting to him."

"understood, then i'll be going right now. thank you for sparing your time, motomura-senpai." i said with a bow.

"my pleasure, minamoto-san."

right after that, i quickly head my feet to shuu's house to check on him. yes, the reason why he can't come to practice today is that he catches a pretty bad fever and decided to stay in his own house instead in his dorm. yet i still can't figure out why he would keep this fever as secret.

"shuu, it's me-" the house' caretaker led me shuu's room and-

and shuu just straightaway hugged me gently.

"shuu?" i asked, worried. i can feel his body's high temperature!

"i can't feel my feet." shuu rested his chin on my head.

"you should just stay on the bed!"

"can't help it," shu tightened his embrace on me.

"i miss my dear minamoto kaya way too much."
