"You know if Julian was here, he wouldn't be such a coward and drink this stuff" Josh said, referring to one of their friends back in LA.

"Yeah" Sean agreed. "Too bad he's with his girlfriend right now. Gosh, he's whipped"

"Wait, I have an idea" Ken smirked. "What if we all try to woo one girl here and if they say yes for a date, they don't have to drink this"

"Woo? What year are we?" Sean questioned, giving Ken a look.

Ken shot him a glare. "Whatever, you know what it means"

"Wait, we need proof that they're on the date" Josh added.

"Right, then they have to take a picture together on the date" Ken said.

"Alright, who goes first?" Sean asked, and they both looked at him. "Me? No dude. I'm not going first"

Ken and Josh shared a look then nodded at each other in an agreement.

"Lewser" Josh muttered.

"Excuse me?"

Josh smirked. Ken and him were doing this on purpose. These were one of the things they knew how to get Sean to agree on something. To make him fired up.

Sean hates losing. They knew it well. Sean wouldn't back down from dares, challenges, fights, you name it. Even if he wouldn't agree to it at first, you can just give him a little push and he would agree. One time, he bumped into a random stranger in a dance convention that he was part of. They had a full on fight, but Sean wasn't the one going home with bruises.

"You heard him. Don't be a coward" Ken said, mentally laughing at how fast Sean's mood changed.

Sean scoffed. "You guys don't want to go first too, and somehow I'm the coward?"

"We would gladly go up first but since you suggested the idea of mixing them, why don't you do it first?"

"Unless, you're scared of being rejected" Josh taunted, making Sean scowl.

"Watch how it's done" Sean got out of his chair. Josh and Ken looked at each other and shared a silent hi five. They smiled in triumph before watching their friend.

Even though Sean didn't want to admit it, he was scared. He didn't want to drink and get rejected on the same night. He ruffled his jet black hair and searched for a girl to hit on. His eyes stopped at someone who got his attention. She was wearing a midnight blue dress that was just above her knees. It was a simple dress, there weren't much prints and it looked to be conservative. Her curly brown hair cascaded down until her chest and he got a view of her eyes. They were a light brown, but he saw a few flecks of green.

His breathing stopped. She was gorgeous. He had to get a date with her. She was sitting beside a girl near her age. He looked for any boy that would probably be her boyfriend, but it was just her and her friend. Just as he was approaching them, her friend excused herself from the table leaving her all alone.

Perfect. Sean thought.

He was walking towards her table and as if she felt his presence, she looked back at him.

"Hi" She smiled warmly at him.

His heart fluttered at the sight of her welcoming smile. He didn't know why she was so kind to a stranger in a bar. Especially if that stranger was looking at you from afar. But he didn't ask. Just the sight of her smile alone made Sean smile and he didn't realize that he did. He mentally cursed. I can't do this.

"Um, hi." He greeted, taking a seat beside her.

"I'm Kaycee" She introduced first. She fully shifted herself to him and Sean could see that she had no makeup on. It wasn't like she needed it, she was already very beautiful and Sean was lucky to have noticed that. He also noticed that she had an American accent.

"Pretty" Sean whispered, not knowing that he said it.

"Pardon-"

"-Name" Sean inserted, catching his mistake and coughing afterwards. "I'm Sean"

"It's not like I'm not enjoying you here, but is there a reason why you're talking to me now?" She laughed lightly.

Sean appreciated the sound of her laugh and couldn't help but smile at her wider. She had this effect on him and he didn't know what it was.

What was I doing here again?

A whistle was heard in their direction and Sean's head whipped to the source of the sound. Ken was waving at him while Josh mouthed 'Git'.

Oh, right. How do I say this?

And as if a lightbulb appeared on top of his head, Sean knew what to do.

"You must love bears because you meet all my Koala fications" He started.

Instead of giving Sean a weird look, leaving him or doing both, Kaycee laughed at his attempt of a pick up line. Sean definitely didn't expect it though, he thought he would get slapped for that. But he smiled as Kaycee laughed. He didn't know if it was because it was out of pity or it was too cringey but it made her laugh.

"That was alright but Koalas aren't bears, they're marsupials" Kaycee corrected.

"Are you a fruit? Because apple in love with you more everytime you talk to me" Sean tried again.

"Sean are you-"

"Wait, I have another one. Is your hand heavy? Do you want me to hold it for you?"

"Sean, are you drunk?" Kaycee asked. She wasn't mad, she was actually smiling really hard.

Sean blinked. "No"

"Really?" Kaycee raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah"

"You sure?"

"Yep"

"Then why are you trying to drink from an empty Coke bottle?" Kaycee pointed out, trying to hide her laughter.

Sean looked down and saw that he was opening an empty Coke bottle. He awkwardly closed it and pushed it away slowly while laughing. He ran his hand through his hair, hoping she wouldn't find him creepy.

"Oh"

"Yeah" Kaycee nodded.

"So maybe I am"

"Maybe you are"

"And my pick-up lines are horrible"

"Not really" Kaycee shook her head, looking down. Sean turned to her in surprised, she really liked them? Kaycee turned her head back to him and answered his thoughts.

"They were really cute and they made me laugh so" She shrugged.

"Can I tell you one last pick-up line though?" He asked and she gave him a look. "I promise they would be better"

She nodded at him.

"Do you like raisins?"

"Not really,"

"Then how about a date?"
