단위명사
This is something similar to amount words. There's a lot to memorize but it is simple. Similar to the words pieces, pairs, etc. I'll make a list. The numbers are also the second sino set so 한 두 세 네 다선 여섯 일곱 여덟 아홉 열
한 개 This means piece and is the most used out of these all. One apple, one egg, one sandwich. I use it most when buying things from a market or food stand. "한 개 주세요."
옷 한 벌 this doesn't really have a direct translation but is used for an article of clothing. One skirt, one pants, one shirt, etc.
신발/양말 세 켤레 3 pairs of shoes/socks (note pants would not be a pair but 벌)
강아지 한 마리 one puppy (one animal) (example being there's one puppy)
맥주 세 병 3 bottles of beer
커피 네 잔 four cups of coffee
사진 두 장 four photos. 장 means paper literally add to show the amount of paper since photos are on paper.
책 다섯 권 five books
비빔밥 한 그릇 one bowl of bibimbap
자동차/카메라 한 대 one car/camera 대 is used for technology
꽃 한 송이 one flower. But a bouquet is called a 꽃다발.
돼지고기 100g/kg 그램/킬로그램 kilograms are used in Korea not pounds. Sino numbers is not needed so 백 그램 is fine.
학생 여섯 명 six students (often used when entering a restaurant and they ask how many are in your group)
할머니 한 분 one grandma. 분 is 높임말 which is words and grammar used to speak to someone older or a respected person. You'll learn about that more later.
배 한 사장/박스 pears one crate/box
This is a lot to memorize but the ones most used daily are 개, 명, 분, 병, 잔, g/kg.
Practice time!

와인 몇 병 있어요? (2)
