San:
Jump in with both feet. That's what Sanem normally did with anything new. Creating scented creams & perfumes, reading, writing, playing football, cooking... Ok, just because she always fully committed doesn't mean she always succeeded. She was just passionate about everything she tried, and going into the workforce... not just helping at her parents grocery store, but the real, actual, all grown up, don't wanna marry Zeberjet, working world, was no different. Well, it was a little different- she felt nervous since this was a complete departure from anything she'd been exposed to before.
But her sister had been part of that world for a couple of years now so she would help her baby abla through any tough spots that Sanem couldn't navigate herself. Though, she couldn't think of anything she wouldn't be able to handle on her own... she's got this!
Can:
When it came to projects, Can normally just jumped in with both feet. Fully committed. Go wherever the project took him- raging rivers, the deepest jungle, highest mountains, biggest seas- he was up for it! Just him and his camera, or being immersed in small community villages or tribes to capture their lives and share them with the world, bringing knowledge, support and compassion where it is most needed.
This project though... Baba is asking a heluva lot. Emre was much better suited to take over business operations. Why did he want me to step into this role?? He had said Emre wasn't ready- Hard to swallow, as he's been working by their father's side at the agency for years. Sure, he has his weaknesses, but we all do, right? This world is just not for me. Ah Baba! He persists- it's what he wishes so- of course I'll do it.
First order of business- the company's 40th anniversary. Such an accomplishment- he's happy to celebrate it with his father- it's an honor to his dedication and passion come to fruition. He's not however, happy to have to wear a damn monkey-suit. It stifles him- Ah! Both his dad and brother gang up on him - fine fine fine- I'll wear it - but I won't like it! Emre takes special pleasure in that... punk. Ah well, at least he'll be able to see Polen later. She had agreed to make this occasion one of her 3 or 4 visits a year since it was a special affair. She'd only be able to spend one night though, as her work pulls her back insistently. It's ok- it's really all they need from each other... it was comfortable.
San:
What? I don't even know what my responsibilities are yet and I have to attend a formal gathering and presentation?? Uff- maybe I am in over my head! Leyla tried to subdue her spastic sister, "Sanem! It's nothing to you... we just wear something nice from the available wardrobe, get there in time for Aziz Bey to receive his recognition, see the company's presentation, maybe have drink, and we leave. And we all sit as a group, don't worry abla!"
"Tamam. You won't leave my side right abla?" Sanem felt out of her element at the office- she couldn't imagine attending such an event.
"I might for a bit... If Emre Bey needs anything I may have to step away briefly, but you'll be fine with Guliz & CeyCey."
"Uff! Fine! I'll go talk to them to work out the agenda for the evening and just follow their lead."
"Tamam- good girl, Sanem!" Leyla could always find a way to shadow her helpfulness and support with a condescending tone. Just big sister teasing, but it didn't help! What on earth is she going to wear??
Luckily, the company had an array of costumes and formal-wear to use as needed. She didn't want anything too gawdy and found a simple, slightly less-formal dress that fit just perfectly. She got changed and was able to sweep her hair into a messy-but-elegant bun before heading to the event.

FanfictionMy "happy path" version... Bear with me through some of the chapters as I don't always deviate too much from the show. Maybe half way through the 3rd part is where I start to diverge, then I go back & forth to following the show pretty closely...
