"Joker I hope you're not planning on falling in love," Runner teased, elbowing Joker in the ribs.

"No, now to the car," Joker retorted before getting into the van. Scarlet got into the back seat in complete silence.

"Buckle up ya young tater tots!" West shouted back at us. Joker was looking out the window before suddenly shouting, "No time just drive! The mercs are here!"

West took off like a bullet and shouted back at us not bothering to take his eyes off of the dusty ground in front of us "Buckle the hell up or I'm break-checking Y'all!"

Tailor shouted back, "Stop and we're all dead, now give me a gun!" Scarlet calmly buckled up in silence.

West: "There should be a gun in the back!" West shouted in response, swerving through the rubble. Tailor leaned over the seat and started rummaging around for the shotgun West keeps in the trunk, as soon as he found it he rolled out the window and leaned out of them and starts shooting at the mercs chasing us. A heavy tense silence in the car was only broken by the repeated firing of the shotgun. "Quickly make a right turn, Scarlet you ever shoot anyone before?" Tailor asked as West made an extremely sharp right turn causing the left set of tires to lift up off of the ground.

"Yes," Scarlet spoke softly in response keeping her calm demeanor up.

"Joker, Prophet, Runner, Scarlet, you know what I'm about to say," Tailor spoke.

"Already on it," Joker responded as he began messing with his phone.

"You got it, boss," Runner spoke as she pulled out her gun and started shooting at the cars. Scarlet was already shooting the tires of the cars behind us with surprising accuracy. I pulled one of the rifles from my back and began to shoot at the drivers of the cars, never missing once.

"Alright, I got it!" Joker shouted as he pulled out a detonator.

"Don't blow us up!" West yelled.

"I know what I'm doing!" Joker yelled back as he pressed the button on the detonator causing one of the cars chasing us to explode.

"Alright kiddo!" West shouted with unusual enthusiasm in his voice.

"How long till you get it to blow up the other car?" Tailor questioned.

"A minute at least," Joker responded.

Runner screamed in pain as she pulled back into the van holding her shoulder which was bleeding heavily from a bullet hole. "Are you alright Runner?!" I called back with concern lacing my voice but not bothering to look back to check on her.

"What happened to buttmuch one?" West questioned.

"I just need to patch myself up, don't worry," Runner responded trying to hide the pain in her voice and forcing a smile.

"While we're in charge you'll be calling us by our names, Ya old koot!" Tailor yelled at the lieutenant who simply responded with, "No can do buttmuch three, I'm focused on not getting us killed!"

"I can still shoot you, now call us by our names or I'm giving Joker control over the car!" Tailor threatened. And once again he responded with a simple "No can do."

"Joker?"

"Got it, I'm now driving with my phone!" Joker responded holding his phone up. West simply laughed and took his hands off the wheel and his foot off of the gas pedal, which caused the SUV to start slowing down which no one besides myself and West seemed to notice.

"Prophet you focus on shooting! Now, remember who's in charge while we're out here old man."

"Stop fighting over the wheel and let the experienced driver drive!" Scarlet rose her voice at them.

"You shut up!" Tailor yelled back at her, which caused her ears to flatten against her head and her to yell back at Tailor "Fucking make me!"

"I can have anyone throw you out now shut up!" Tailor threatened.

"Tailor calm down, the car is slowing down because West isn't driving, this SUV doesn't have a remote control system," I spoke calmly causing my voice to sound slightly robotic. Scarlet shot out the last car's tires in annoyed silence.

"Ok, Y'all just shut up and let me drive!" West yelled back at them, turning around he continued, "And if you ever try to do something stupid like take control of my vehicle I will make all of you walk back to Nova six!" Just then West's phone began to buzz from the cup holder, "Prophet take that."

I grabbed West's phone and looked at the notification, "It's from Pidge," I informed him.

"So Scarlet? When did you get your chip removed?" Joker questioned Scarlet in which she responded with nothing but silence.

I read off Pidge's text, "Pidge says, the big kahuna wants identity chips in the newbies, I'm altering some now, get them home alive and don't kill yourself."

"I'm out!" Runner shouted.

"Me too," Joker added.

"Fuck that noise," Tailor spoke his opinion.

"If the big kahuna wants them in you they must have a good reason for it," West spoke not caring about what the deviants had to say.

"The whole reason for our rebellion was getting our chips removed!" Tailor yelled.

"Well, what if that shit that happened before happens again?" West questioned with annoyance lacing his voice like poison.

"What do you mean?" Tailor questioned confused.

"What if there's an incident and we can't track you end up getting killed if we don't find you?"

"That's what we hope to happen."

"Yeah we kinda want to die rather than to being captured," Joker added.

"Kind of why we don't have chips in the first place, makes it too easy to lead more of us into traps, plus wasn't it you guys who removed all the chips that are inside deviants?" Runner questioned.

"I know, but Pidge said she's modifying them," West said clearly annoyed with them.

"Why would we want chips back? Now that we don't have them, it's just a pain in the neck," Tailor spoke as he rubbed the scar on his neck from where his ID chip once was. West rolled his eyes, "Prophet can you convince them otherwise?"

I leaned back in my chair and commented, "I don't have a chip yet you all find me just fine."

"That's cause you're a literal computer! Computers are easier to track than humans!" West yelled in frustration. I straightened up and stayed silent after that comment from him.

"Speaking of which," Joker added as he handed me a paper with a list on it, "Here's a few new ways I managed to get into your systems." I tossed the paper onto the floor panel in front of me and turned my head towards the window.

"Wolfsbane you're a fucking dumbass!" Tailor yelled.

"How so?" Lieutenant Griffin spoke still clearly annoyed and frustrated.

"Prophet is a very handsome man, not a computer!"

"He is a computer though, you should ask your little hacker friend for his file and you'll find out that he is a computer."

"I have his file, yes, but to be a computer they have to have been created as an artificial intelligence, to begin with, since he was a guy before his augmentations he's a human being through and through," Joker spoke with very little emotion, "Plus he doesn't talk with constant pauses like computers do."

I chuckled a bit before questioning them in a dry, emotionless, and slightly robotic tone, "Why are you guys even sticking up for me like this?"

"You saved me and Runner," Joker responded.

"You're a very kind person," Runner added.
