Chapter 37 - Independence Day

I said exasperated,

"Come on Ash, let's go. We'll talk about this later okay?"

He sighed and nodded his head as we let go of eachothers hands as we entered the room.

"Oh, you must be Ashton."

Simon said with a wide smile, Ashton returned the smile and shook his hand firmly,

"It's nice to meet you Simon."

He said as he let go of his hand and all of the guys scattered around him.

"Look boys. I want to tell you some things. I love your sound. I think you guys would get fans easily because you are all appealing and young."

I looked at Simon weirdly.

"Welcome to Hi Or Hey Records boys."

They all looked at eachother in disbelief.

"You heard me, you've got a record deal with Hi Or Hey records. Even Syco Records."

They all started cheering as they all hugged eachother. And then Simon. I was enjoying the sight as I noticed Michael pull away from the guys and started to approach me. He wrapped his arms around my waist as I threw my hands over his shoulders and pulled him close as possible. I felt a million butterflies burst into tiny pieces in my stomach. What was this feeling?

-Michael's POV-

As I held Roxy in my arms. I felt this weird feeling in my chest that I've never felt before... My heart was beating rapidly and I couldn't breathe. It felt like time had stopped.

I felt someone tug me away from Roxy as I saw the boys go to her and hug her.

"You are the best Roxy."

Calum screeched as I kept eye contact with her. We both couldn't stop looking at eachother with shocked expressions. I bet she felt the same way I did. It's been our first proper hug since high school.

"Okay, let's go celebrate boys."

Simon cheered as everyone walked out and headed off to a bar with Simon. I noticed that Roxy was sitting at the bar with a sad look on her face. I went up to go talk to her when I heard the boys runnin my way.

"Come on bro. You just got a record deal. Be happy!"

Luke cried as I shrugged my shoulders and went off with them. Anyways, this is just a trick feeling running through me and I'm sure it will go away soon.

-Roxy's POV-

After all of the excitement, I decided to go home and play with Pashmina. She cuddled with me on the couch as I held her in my arms. My phone started ringing and I went to pick it up, not looking at the caller ID.

"Hello?"

"Hey Roxy."

I heard that oh-so familiar voice that only irritated me,

"Kendall. Don't call again-"

"So you and Louis are pregnant?"

I made a weird face,

"What the fuck? Now we're not. He just posted lies. Why would you be concerned?"

I snapped at him. I'm not interested in anything he has to say.

"Will you please just become my friend again? Things were less complicated when we were just friends. I mean you've probably already moved on by now."

I blushed a little as a picture of Michael popped in my head. What was that all about?

"N-no I haven't Kendall. Just leave me alone."

I stuttered as I hung up the phone and looked at Pashmina. She looked so confused as she looked at me with her head tilted.

"Assholes, right Pash?"

I said as I pet her head.

"Let's go for a drive. Okay?"

Pashmina got up from the couch and started running in circles on the spot. I love her so much. She really can cheer me up.

-Michael's POV-

I went over to see how Roxy was. I really needed to talk to her about what happened between us. That was no ordinary feeling. I know this now.

I saw the front door wide open and her car was gone... This is weird.

I went inside and looked around. She wasn't upstairs or downstairs. Nowhere.

I closed the door behind me as I took out my phone and tried to call her. No answer.

I sighed as I went back home to see Ashton drumming away. He stopped when he saw me.

"What's up Mike?"

Ashton asked me as I tried to call Roxy again... No answer!!

"I went over to see Roxy and her front door was wide open and her car was gone."

Ashton's jaw dropped as he put away his drumsticks.

"I'm worried she's gonna kill herself Ash."

I said trying to hold back the tears in my eyes. There was a lump in my throat that I tried to swallow down.

"Okay look. Roxy's not going to do that. Just give her some time and call her alright? Gosh you seem like you really care about her."

Ashton said as I looked up at him,

"I actually think I do have feelings for her..."

Ashton's eyes widened as he started jumping up and down.

"I was right! And you denied it!"

Ashton claimed in victory.

"No Ash. I just didn't know it. Now let's find her please."

Ashton took out his phone as we ran out the door and went to his car.

Hey guys! I've got two more days of vacation until I go to school :( it's not gonna be fun to wake up early again but anyways other than that I've gotta get my ass in gear so I'll write a bit more and get that over with :) love you all for reading. Stay Strong Lovelies xx
