DEMI'S POV

I held the TV remote in my hand, just staring at Anna. I didn't mean to look mad, but I was just shocked that she managed to find it.

"Anna, you shouldn't watch these," she just looked at me, using that same confused expression I have seen a lot of lately.

"There's a reason I told you to not scroll so far down the TV guide."

"I'm sorry, I just-"

"It doesn't matter now, okay? Just don't do it again, you don't need to see what's on there."

"Why were their pictures of mommy and daddy?"

"Because of who I am, they see it as some groundbreaking news when in fact it's just a family loss, like a lot of people go through daily, affecting someone who just happens to be in the limelight. They always put unnecessary things in the papers and on the TV and miss out stuff that people need to hear. Like I said, it doesn't matter now."

I heaved a sigh and Anna simply nodded, it clear that she didn't want to delve into it anymore. I thought over what I just said and realised it could easily be taken differently, like me saying it was 'unnecessary', but I don't think Anna caught on. I mean, I'm not saying it's unimportant, it's just not necessary for people who aren't in the family to know. They don't need to know about what's happening in my family, yet that doesn't stop them delving into it.

Anna flicked the off button on the TV, turning the standby off. She got up and slowly wandered towards her bedroom, making a thumping noise whilst dragging her feet. I yelled back at her, haulting her journey.

"Things heal with time!"

She turned to look at me and pulled hair from her line of sight, "I know, Demi."

I smiled at her response. She really was a strong, little warrior.

ANNA'S POV

It was kind of feeling like a massive slumber party at Demi's. I keep forgetting that I won't go back to mommy and daddy's the next day and that I'm here forever. Demi has to keep reminding me, she doesn't mean to, but by what she says makes me realise. As soon as I wake up, for just a few seconds I believe my life is normal and then I realise where I am and why. That really hurts. Yesterday, Demi told me that she was going to become my legal guardian - she said it's sort of like my adoptive mommy - and that Wilmer was to be the father figure, because the court were being a bit 'funny' about her just doing it by herself, as she is always busy.

I shut my bedroom door behind me and sat down on my fluffy, pink rug. I leaned over to grab my iPod dock that sat under my bed and pressed play on the iPod. I recently discovered 5 Seconds of Summer after playing on Demi's phone and noticing them appear on Billboard charts; I think their song that I like is Amnesia. The song blaring through the dock cut my chain of thought and I scrolled through the songs until I could find Amnesia. I don't know what amnesia means but I really like the boys in the song. As soon as Amnesia came on, I turned the volume up all the way and moved the dock away from me.

I hummed to myself as the verses blared, not quite sure on what the lyrics of them are. As the chorus drew nearer, I giggled to myself whilst dancing around on my rug.

I cleared my throat, dancing at the same time: "I remember the day you told me you were leaving, I remember th-" I cut myself off, unsure of a few words that followed.

As the chorus continued, I sang out the lyrics that my little brain could recall.

"I wish that I could wake up with amnesia, and forget about the stupid little things, like the way it felt to fall aslee-" I heaved a sigh at my bad memory, but managed to scream out the final line of the chorus.

"Cause I'm not fine at all!" As soon as I finished screeching the last word, the music shut off. I stopped spinning in circles and looked at Demi, standing beside my iPod dock.

DEMI'S POV

I smiled at Anna, not sure whether to be happy that she had perked up a little bit or uncertain about the song she decided to play. Although she's obviously more energentic and full of life now, belting out a song that mentions waking up with amnesia and not being fine at all is a little unsettling.

"Good song?" I asked her, shutting her bedroom door behind me as to not disturb Wilmer who was having a phone call.

"I like them, yeah," I nodded to her reply.

"Everything should be sorted soon, like all the stuff I told you not to worry about," she nodded back at me, as if this had turned into a wobbly head competition.

"Wilmer is finalising it now, he is going to be the father figure... I'm not sure if I've menti-"

"Yes, you already told me."

I wonder where she gets the sass from! Definitely not me. I laughed at Anna's quick sass remark and opened her bedroom door, yelling back to her that "dinner is ready!" whilst quick-stepping downstairs. Wilmer must have heard too as, as soon as I ended up in the kitchen, they were both hovering behind me.

"So, what is it?" Wilmer asked, his hands getting dangerously close to my backside when he edged closer towards me. I discreetly brought his hands around my waist, as to not scar Anna for life, who was just standing there, giggling under her breath.

"Not a plateful of ass, that's for sure," I replied. I'm quite proud of that response, that was clever. Wilmer laughed and loosened his grip around my waist, leaving the kitchen rather quickly and red-faced.

Anna stopped giggling to open her mouth. I took one guess that she was going to ask what I meant and bet her to it.

"Don't worry about that, what do you want for dinner?" She giggled once more and then loosely shrugged her shoulders.

"Can we get a take out? I want pizza," whilst in mid-sentence, Anna had already pulled the pizza delivery leaflets out of the little box on the kitchen side that I kept them in, forcing them under my nose. I reluctantly nodded after seeing Wilmer's face light up, although a little flustered, behind Anna.

"Pizza it is!"
