Chapter 24

"Put this on the wound for the first five days and it shouldn't leave a scar." Tim told her as Kate thanked him. "Guess I'll see you at the wedding." he told her as she nodded her head. "I'll see you next Saturday and thanks for coming over so quick." She told him as Tim shrugged it off, realising he'd missed his chance with this young beauty as he left her house.

"Daddy." Arthur called now that his knee was bandaged up and taken care off. "Come here bud." Glen whispered, taking Arthur as Kate got up to check the kitchen but it seemed dinner was in the over and in half an hour it would be ready. "Thanks." she told them as they reassured her. She smiled when Luke and Arthur seemed to be laughing as Arthur sat in Glen's lap. Another crisis resolved for now, that was till her phone rung in her back pocket.

"Yes Kate?" Kate answered the phone with a knowing chuckle and shake of her head, her phone tucked between her shoulder and ear. "Sorry to bother you but Meghan's been whining the ears of my head." Catherine told her as Kate let out a chuckle and shook her head, leaning against the back of the couch. Smiling at her son, her fiance and her soon to be step son. "Reminds me a bit of last year with Pip." Kate noted in amusement as Catherine let out a loud groan.

"Really, you're not going to be a bridezilla are you?" Catherine asked her as Kate let out a snort. "Not going to happen, you'll have to drag me out of work to get through everything." Kate told her with a hint of amusement. "See why can't everyone be like you." Catherine told her as Kate rolled her eyes.

"you know next time I see Carole and Michael I'm asking them how you were a week and a half before your wedding." Kate retaliated as she heard Catherine chuckle on the phone and William call out something in the background.

"Tell the annoying sod not to get involved big people stuff." Kate told Catherine as she head Catherine rely the message. "You're an idiot Cambridge." Kate told her as she watched Glen's mum, sister in law and aunt in the kitchen. "Says the pot to the kettle." Catherine retaliated as she rolled her eyes. The two talked for a few more minutes before Catherine had to go and feed Louis.

"is she getting bored?" Glen asked Kate as he came to stand behind her, his arms wrapping around her waist and resting on her stomach. They weren't telling anyone yet that she was pregnant. They had an appointment with the OB the next day and they'd figure out how far along she was then. But it didn't take away that he knew and loved holding his hand above her stomach where their baby grew. "Bored out of her mind and it doesn't help that Meghan is apparently having a nervous breakdown about the wedding and I have to hear all of it." Kate explained in a goodhumoured manner and shake of her head.

"I think she's getting tired of being stuck in the house with Louis." Kate noted, her head tilted back to look at Glen standing behind her. "Maybe you guys could go for a walk in Hyde Park." Glen offered as she tilted her head to the side. "That's what she doesn't want she had Angelsey with George, Norfolk with Charlotte, they had privacy then. But now they're all full time Royals and they can't escape to the countryside." Kate explained with a small shrug of her shoulders.

"I think she'd be tempted to stay at Windsor this week already but problem is George and Charlotte have school so that probably won't happen either." Kate explained as Glen nodded his head, he never knew how little Privacy they had, apparently Catherine didn't want to go out just cause she didn't want to be seen yet in public. He doubted anyone would be willing to face photographers two weeks after giving birth.

"I think I'll force her to go out tomorrow afternoon." Kate nodded with a head, a day out would do her good even if it was a simple walk in Hyde Park. She'd ask Eugenie or Beatrice to be a sound board for Meghan. "Will you set the table, I just need to make a call." Kate asked Glen, thinking of Eugenie, she was getting married and was driving her sister just as crazy. Well Eugenie and Meghan could drive each other crazy tomorrow afternoon. First she'd go to the doctors and then she'd rescue her best friend for a bit.
