Chapter 24

"What are you guys doing?" Mark snickered from the side of her office. "Different things." she sighed as she hoped onto her desk as she started to pull off her blazer. "Kate, Peter asked if you could go by his lab before you left this evening." Lexi told her, popping her head back around the doorway as Kate tilted her head back with a sigh.

"Since when do I need to be everywhere?" she asked Lexi as she threw her boss a shrugged smirk. "You set them up for this don't you?" she asked her secretary in a good humoured manner. "You'll never know will you?" Lexi called out to her from her own desk already, shaking her head Kate rolled her eyes.

"Tell him I'll go by tomorrow morning unless the lab is about to explode and I have to call town hall for a disaster procedure." Kate called out to Lexi as she heard her laughter filter through in her office.

"It's about the new procedure or something." Lexi told her as Kate tilted her head to the side. "he needs the mathmetician for that which I'm not." she told her when she heard the familiar running in the hallway. After all those years she knew when her son was running down the hall or not. And by the sound of it he had someone with him. Looking towards Glen's family she turned back to the door when George and Arthur stormed through her door.

"Mummy, Aunty Kate." The two called as she braced herself as the two wrapped their arms around her legs. "Monkeys." she grinned, crouching down in front of them as they threw their arms around her neck. "Daddy you're here." Arthur grinned as Arthur leapt for Glen as George having noticed the strangers hid behind her shoulder. "You okay bud?" she asked him as he shyly nodded his head. "Sorry they escaped." Will apologised rounding the corner into her office. "When don't they?" she asked him with a raise of her brow and smile in his direction as Will noticed the bunch of strangers as well. "Will meet Glen's family...." Kate started as she introduced them to each other. "Shall I tell Kate and Meghan the evening is moved ahead to tomorrow?" Will asked her as Kate nodded her head discreetly.

"That be best I think." She added as Will took George from where he hid behind Kate's legs. "Do I need to pick them up at noon before going to Windsor?" she asked Will. It was the last fitting tomorrow before the big fitting next week with the Queen seeing the final result.

"probably." William noted as Kate nodded her head. "I'll move Arthur's car seat into the trunk then, so Louis' car seat can go in the back." Kate assured him as he gave her a grateful smile.

"Thanks sis. see you tomorrow." Will told her as he kissed her cheek. "See you later Glen." Will told Glen before saying goodbye to his family as Will walked out of her office. "What?" she asked them with a chuckle as she noticed them all looking to the door where Will had gone off too. "That's Prince William." Glen's mum stuttered as Kate chuckled softly. "The annoying prat that likes to call himself my brother." Kate elaborated with a shrug of her shoulders, to her he was nothing more than that. She remembered the time that she was still confused and star struck like that. But not any more. She was actually the one who kicked them up the ass when they were both being morons. And she enjoyed it as well when thinking about it. "You better get used to it, they're a big part of Kate's life." Glen warned them, knowing that she'd never drop them ever. They were her family to her and he wouldn't drop his either if she asked him. he needed his family to understand that they were as important to Kate as they all were to him. Even Luke seemed to be silenced by seeing William, oh well it had it's perks apparently.

"Uncle Will is always crazy." Arthur grinned as Kate rolled her eyes. "Lexi is there anything I need to sign, check over or do something?" Kate asked as she leant against the door frame. She was ready to go home with Glen's family and pull off her heels. "Just these two things need to be signed and you can go home." Lexi told her in a reassuring whisper. How she'd figured out she was pregnant was beyond Kate. But she'd taken one look at Kate that morning and told her she was pregnant.
