Chapter 24

"You better not have any other surprises up your sleeve." Kate told him with a playful stab of her elbow into his side as he oomphed behind her. "Only good surprises." he told her, kissing the side of her head as he moved his other hand to the check his left breast pocket. There was the biggest surprise of the evening hid. Her engagement ring if she said yes that was and god did he wish she'd say yes.

He was barely able to control his nerves in front of her. But he had to if he didn't want to give away anything. he wanted this to be a surprise and when they reached the park his mates had helped him set up he let out a steadying breath. "What's this?" she asked him, as she turned to Glen with a smile on her face when she noticed the park near Wimbledon. A table was set underneath a willow tree and marked off with candles.

"I thought I could give you a dinner deserving of you." he told her as the car slowed down and she gave him a small shake of her head. "You're crazy." she told him as he rounded the car to open her door, his hand stretched out to her as she slipped her and inside of his. "Depends on who you'd ask." Glen told her with a chuckle as she couldn't help but grin and shake her head at the same time. "You're amazing you know that right?" she asked him as they walked between the candle lit path. Even though the sun was still up, it didn't take away from the magic it surely must have meant to be in the dark.

"My lady." he whispered, pulling out her chair as she sat down with a smile on her face. "You're amazing you know that right. I don't deserve this after what I put you through since you returned." she told him with a small shake of her head as she couldn't help but get a bit emotional at all that he'd done for her. It made her feel even worse about her behaviour towards him and the thought of him cheating on her.

"Sweetheart I already told you. I don't hold it against you, if the roles had been reserved I would have thought the same." he assured her as he covered her slightly trembling hand. "Still, I had no right." she told him, dropping her head a little as she shook it from side to side.

"I see it as you loving me." glen told her, seeing the positive out of the entire thing. the fact that she'd been so angry at him for daring to cheat. She was jealous and angry cause she loved him. that's what he reminded himself off when thinking back to the last few days. And then of course there was the new baby they had to think about as well.

"I do." she confirmed with a small smile and sigh as she tilted her head at him. "Let's hope that these attempts or whatever they are from your fans stop once we become official in two weeks time at the wedding." she told him with a smirk as she started to chuckle. So far to both their surprises they had managed to keep their relationship under wraps. Glen being gone so much had probably something to do with it. They had agreed that them attending the wedding together would be enough for their fans to figure it out.

It was funny to her that she was literally waiting for their fans to figure it out that Glen wasn't single any more either.

"I would certainly hope so, otherwise I might start to question the intelligence of our fans." he told her snickering as Kate chuckled in her hand. "Well we have two more weeks." she sighed as her shoulders relaxed against the stress which would certainly be coming their way with the wedding.

"Two more weeks where it's just us." Glen told her in agreement as he turned her hand down in his. Their glasses were topped and their dinner was brought to them. No matter the fact that it was non alcoholic, both enjoyed their evening amazingly. The evening sun slowly travelling across the sky as the Botanical Gardens was their background to their right behind the tree.

"What's that?" Kate wondered when she heard a blowing noise as Glen rose from his chair. "Well I have one more surprise for this evening." he told her as he held out his arm to her. Sliding her hand in the fold of his arm she gave him a confused look as he rounded the wall and she noticed a hot air balloon. "No way." she laughed as she eyed the balloon being prepared to go up as Glen stood grinning beside her.
