Chapter 24

"Be careful on your way there okay. Maverick will ride with you as well." Kate told her fiancé as she gave him a knowing look as she walked up to him, wrapping her arms around his neck. "I will, I'm responsible you know that." he told her as she gave him a knowing smile as she nodded her head. "good, and don't work yourself up about dinner tonight, they're my family." she told him as she leant up to kiss his lips. "I'll try not to." he noted with a deep sigh as she pecked his lips again. "I'll see you tonight." she told him, as he kissed her lips again before Catherine and Charlotte walked out of the house, Catherine got in Kate's car after buckling up Arthur and Charlotte and headed for KP. They stuffed the things they needed over the two cars and headed out with all of them. Arthur and Charlotte were in the back seat kibbling and talking as they made their way out of London up to Windsor Castle. She's been here quite a few times, but every time it remained an amazing sight. Now with all the people lining up already for tomorrow, the press centre tent. It was massive and so unlike what she'd seen Windsor Castle like so far. She gave a small wave to those who waved at her as she followed William into the castle and even there they continued to see people after people. Photographers, camera's, news readers reading reports as they arrived to cheers. Rolling her eyes behind her shade, she drove through the gate that led to the big stairs as it was closed off after her.

"That's crazy." Kate pointed out to William as he got out of the driver seat of his Range Rover and came to help her with Charlotte and Arthur. "You better get used to it sis." he whispered to her as he took Arthur from her car as she unbuckled Charlotte and took her out of the car as well as they started to climb the stairs and it looked absolutely stunning. "It looks great Meg." Kate assured her as she met up with Harry and Meghan at the top of the stairs. "Hey Doria, it's great to see you again." Kate greeted her in her usual warm manner of a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"It's great to see you as well Kate, I hear you've gotten engaged as well?" Doria asked her as they started to walk down the aisle and to the front of the church. "Yes we're keeping it under wraps for now, no one even knows were together again." Kate admitted with a snicker and smile on her face. "they'll be in for a shocker tomorrow." Doria noted in agreement as Kate nodded her head in a cheeky manner. "They certainly will, how was meeting the Queen?" She asked the woman who'd literally been thrown into all of this and she couldn't begin to imagine how daunting it must all be.

"Oh she's such a lovely woman. You were absolutely right in telling me I hadn't need worry. She's such an amazing and warm person." Doria grinned as Kate nodded her head. "She's really a cuddly kitten in private." Kate told her with a smile. "What's that I hear Ms Peeters?" she heard someone say behind her and that person was said Queen as she turned around with a caught in the cookie jar look on her face. "That you're brilliant and amazing and so much more." she told her in a cheeky manner as Elizabeth let out a chuckle of her own. "That's what I like to hear." she grinned at her almost adopted granddaughter as the two greeted each other with a kiss on the cheek and hug.

"Let's get this rehearsal started." the wedding planner announced when everyone playing a part in it arrived. Her and Kate would arrive in the same car with Charlotte, George, Arthur and Zalie, the daughter of a close friend of both of them. she was a shy little thing and would feel more comfortable with them instead of the two other women. Two close friends from Meghan, they'd seen them at the hen party, but Kate having taken the streaks fo the royals was always a bit distrustful of those she didn't know.

"If I fall tomorrow, please catch me." Kate whispered to Catherine as they practiced the arrival with the kids, spoke to Arthur and George that tomorrow they would have need to behave and if they weren't the consequences would be felt by both of them. they were both cheeky little monsters and it would be just their luck they tried to start a tugging war with each other.
