alarm clock ; buzzing.
tv ; blaring
phone ; dead
it was always this way. every morning. he'd have worn himself out the night before and fallen asleep in the same situation. he over thought a lot. thought about all his issues, the ones he couldn't fix and the ones he'd always faced alone. his brain, eventually, would knock him into a deep sleep. a deep sleep where he wouldn't remember the night before but he'd always remember the stupid thoughts in his head. he lived alone, in a small apartment in the middle of a busy city. he never opened the curtains, never had a light on. the only source of light in his whole house were the tv, and his electronics which were rarely charged. his windows were always closed but somehow he would still hear the cars driving past on the roads outside, and he'd hear people communicating as they got on with their busy lives. he had no friends. he had never had any, after abandoned at a young age by his own parents because he was too mentally ill for them to look after. the authorities had felt bad for him and given him an apartment in a building that was supposed to be getting knocked down when he was 14. he's 17 now. he doesn't ever want to leave his space. it's his. his own dark little dungeon where he gathers his thoughts. he always wakes up at the same time. 12 noon. having missed his first few lessons at school, he doesn't bother going. he used to. he used to attend everyday, before he got so depressed that he couldn't even move from his bed. he lays there, all day. he lays, staring at the ceiling wondering what to do with himself. he knows that eventually he'll have to live a life again. he knows that he'll have to attend school again soon. he knows. but he doesn't want to. he doesn't want to move. he wants to lay in his dark room, in his eerie apartment and collect his thoughts all day.
that is until authorities came, and then his life changed.
his name is dan, and he's a mentally insane kid.
