14.) 4th Of July

Today was the 4th of July and the beginning of the Attaway carnival. Every year Attaway has a picnic oh the 4th. You and your friends were all going.  You changed into a yellow and white striped shirt and jean shorts. Then you headed over to Birdies house where everyone was meeting up.
"I'm so excited!" Rhyme said jumping around.
"I can wait either. I bet it is so fun." You say.
"Trust me you will love it." Tim said.
"Let's go kids!" Birdies mom said.
Since the park the picnic was at wasn't very far you all walked. The park was filled with tables, food, and red white and blue.
"I'll be off with our neighbors. Don't cause any trouble kids." Birdies mom said.
"Will do." TK said.
You all decided to play baseball on the diamond in the park. It always was stocked with bats, balls, and mits to play with.
"Everybody knows how to play right?" Robbie asked.
"I've never actually played before but I know what I'm doing." You said.
"Same." Rhyme said.
"It's not that hard. Let's play!" Ace said.
They let you and rhyme be batters since it was your first time.
Kayla took left field, Quinn took right field, Flash took center field, TK took shortstop, Tim took second base, Ellie took third base, Birdie took first base, Ace took catcher, and Robbie took pitcher.
"You ready?" Robbie asked as you stood on home plate.
"Ok, I know you play baseball so please go easy on me." You say.
"Got it." Robbie says winking and getting ready.
You both glare at each other as he pitches the ball. You close your eyes and swing.
"Strike 1." Ace said.
Ace throws it to Robbie and a few seconds later he pitches it again. You close your eyes again. You tense up until you hear a whistling sound. You open your eyes and see the ball flying.
"What are you doing run!" Rhyme said.
You dash around all of the bases and collapse on home plate.
"I need to get in better shape." You say making Rhyme die of laughter.
You play that for a bit longer until all the food is ready. At this point almost the whole town of Attaway is there. All of you grab a plate of food and sit down.
"Hurry up I want to go to the festival now!" Rhyme said.
"Slow Down it's not like the festival is gonna run away." TK said.
"Yeah it's gonna be here all week." Ellie said.
When everyone was done with food, you all walked a block over to the Attaway Carnival.
You all got a wristband that allowed you to ride any ride the whole week.
"Oooh lets go on that spinny ride." Flash said.
You all crammed yourselves into a single teacup.
When the ride began, all 11 of you spun the circle in the middle making you go even faster. When you got off the ride you and Birdie could not stop laughing at the way TK looked when he got off the ride.
"Yeah, I don't think spinny rides are my thing." TK said.
" I know just what you and all of us need. Snow cones!" Rhyme said holding his hand.
You all got snow cones and decided to sit down for a minute.
"What next?" Quinn asked.
"Merry go round?" Ellie suggested.
You all went on the merry go round. When you got on you decided to get on a (animal). Tim sat next to you on a Lion. Behind you, Ace and Kayla fought over the dragon seat.
"The fireworks are going off soon." Birdie said. You all headed back over to the park where a bunch of colorful fireworks were going to be lit off.
"Don't be sad Rhyme we are literally going to go back to the carnival in like half an hour." TK said hugging her.
"I'll only be happy if you buy me a funnel cake when we get back." Rhyme said.
"Deal." TK said.
"Rhyme why are you literally always eating." Kayla said.
"I'm constantly hungry I guess." Rhyme said playfully.
You all got blankets form Birdies mom to watch the fireworks with. You all took your seats and then the fireworks began.
The fireworks of all colors shot up and exploded in the sky.
You stared at the sky in awe. Tim stares at you in awe.
After about 20 minutes the fireworks stopped.
"Now back to the carnival my dear." TK said spinning Rhyme playfully.
"Why can't you be that romantic?" You say playfully to Tim.
He sweeps you off your feet and carries You bridal style.
"Is this better?" Tim asks smirking.
"Very." You say blushing.
Tonight's going to be fun.
