Before I could find out who was calling me, Benny grabs my arm and shoves me into the room.
"What was that for?" I ask, annoyed by what she did.
"Earth to V. Mrs. Anne was summoning us. And you know how much she hates repeating herself. What were you thinking about?"
"Nothing. Did you see who was calling me?"
"Was someone calling you? Sorry, I didn't hear anything." I'm not surprised, it's Benny. And Benny wouldn't be Benny if she wasn't always with her head in the clouds. I was really hoping she would know tho.
"Nevermind." I say, giving up. Maybe I'm just hearing things, I mean I didn't get enough hours of sleep after all. But I could swear I really heard someone.
But who can it be? It's not like anyone in this school actually knows about my existence except for Benny and her boyfriend Alex, who I've know since I was 8. When I heard that voice, Benny was standing right beside me and Alex was already inside the classroom. So it's one of two things: either I'm going insane or there's really someone who miraculously noticed me. I find the second option really, really hard to believe. I'm just going to let it go.
"Good morning everyone and welcome to another year. In your case, the las tone, I hope you're all prepared because the last thing this year will be is easy. You've got your exams at the end of the year, which are extremelyimportante may I add, and you also have to make one of the most importante decisions of your life: which college and which course you're applying for.
"We barely started 12th grade and they're already putting this much pressure on us, geez." Whispers Benny to me, while rolling her eyes. I laugh a little with what she says.
"Are you serious right now? You? You feeling the pressure and being stressed or nevous? I hope you're joking. You never complain when you have a thousand things to do, since you alwaysleave everything for the last minute." She smiles, knowing very well that I'm right.
"I will now give out some information to the new students about how things work around here. And since we're on the subject, does anyone know where Lucas is?
I turn to Benny, letting my curiosity take advantage of me. I don't even recognize myself, I'm not usually this snoopy. "Who's Lucas?" I ask.
The second I ask her there's a loud knock on the door.
"Come in." Mrs. Anne orders.
The first thing I notice are his blue eyes. Intense and captivating. He's tall, tan. "I'm so sorry I'm late", he says. "I tried to find the room but I have to admit I was completely lost." As he says this, I continue to Watch him and take my first impression of him.
