The guidelines are for the judges to look over. Participants, you have until the end of January to edit your book - from grammar, the blurb, covers, etc.!

JUDGES: Please don't just grade their rubric. I want you to also write a paragraph (5+ sentences) or two for the review. You must read a minimum of 5 chapters to start judging.

Once you're done scoring and writing the review, either send it to me through PM or by email. PM me for my email.

Here is what you will be judged on:

Cover: 0/5
- is it related to the story?
- is it eye catching?

Title: 0/5
- intriguing
- does it have anything to do with the story?

Blurb/Story Description: 0/10
- is there a hook?
- is there a grammar mistake before reading the story?
- is the blurb short, or has the plot have been given away?

Grammar/Spelling: 0/20
- spelling & punctuation
- sentence structure
- level of vocabulary

Plot Development: 0/30
- does the story flow to the next event?
- plot twists involved?

Character Development: 0/30
- are the characters dynamic?
- did the events affected the characters?
- how much are the characters described?

Usage of Literary Devices: 0/10
- imagery, metaphors, simile,
personifications, foreshadowing,
flashbacks, etc.
- how much of them are used?
- are they used correctly?

Originality: 0/5
- is it cliché?
- did they bring fresh ideas in making it their own?
- is the title original?

Enjoyment: 0/5
- did it feel like you didn't want to put down the book?
- intrigue/interest
