Chapter 23

"I will, you stay here and I'll call Danny to start looking for her as well," Mark told him as he got up. "You stay with Arthur," Mark told him as he looked at the little lad, ignorant of what was happening around him.

The first thing Mark headed for was the museum ten minutes away from her place. Danny was going to start looking around between her place and Kensington Palace and try not to get caught. When Mark found out she wasn't at her job he headed for the park around her house where he knew she liked to walk from time to time. He let out a sigh of relief when he saw her sitting on a bench hidden between the foliage of the willow tree.

"Here you are," Mark called out as Kate lifted her head up to look at him with tearful eyes. "I'm not in the mood to talk," she told him with a no-nonsense tone as she dropped her head back to her knees. "Good cause I'm here to talk and you need to listen," he told her as she lifted her head with a glare and raised an eyebrow at him.

"Glen didn't cheat on you." Mark started as she put her feet on the ground to start walking off but he stopped her with his hand on her arm. "Glen would never cheat on you, he loves you way too much to do that. The pictures you got was from girls kissing Glen backstage that's right. But they jumped on him and he didn't have much time to react. He pushed them off the moment he realised what was happening." Mark told her as she let out an empty chuckle. "Do you really want me to believe that?" she asked him with a non-impressed look in her eyes as Mark let out a sigh.

Now he realised what Glen had meant with Kate being a hothead and stubborn woman. "Yes cause it's the truth. Glen would never ever cheat on you." Mark told her, needing her to believe they didn't know what it would do to Kate if she was to end their relationship over this. Certainly when they had another baby on the way.

"Then why didn't he tell me when it happened?" she told him with a shake of her head. "Cause me and Danny told him not to. We figured you wouldn't find out and no harm would be done by it." Mark explained with regret now that they had tried to convince Glen she'd never found out anyway. Things had a way of coming out but it was the last thing they wanted at this point.

"And the pictures where he's in bed with women?" she asked Mark, knowing that there was no way they could explain themselves out of this mess. "they're the girls he slept with before you two got back together. Kate Glen loves you more than anything else in life. Go home and talk to him. I'll take Arthur to mine and Rina's cause the two of you need to talk about this." Mark told her as Kate stared off into the distance. "I can't get the images out of my head," she admitted as she pulled her knees back to her chest.

"I can't live with a cheater Mark," Kate told him as she shook her head. "Glen isn't a cheater hun. He's too kind to ever cheat. He was furious when those girls kissed him, security kicked them out." Mark informed her as she nodded her head. Slowly realising that Glen hadn't been cheating all along. God, she hated what pregnancy did to her mind.

"come on let's get you home before Glen starts to call the cavalry to find you," Mark told her with a chuckle as she couldn't help but let out a chuckle of her own. "Come on," he told her as she got off of the bench and followed Mark back to her house. "He'll be angry," Kate told him as she dragged feet behind Mark. "No, he won't. He's just worried." Mark told her with a reassuring tone as she climbed the stairs to her front door.

She avoided all eye contact as she walked into her place. Why was it that she always had to jump to conclusions and then she'd regret them later. "there you are." Glen's voice rung in her ears as she felt his arms wrapping around her shoulders as she tried to stop the sob from escaping her mouth. "I'll take the little lad with me. Call me when I can bring him back." Mark told them as she felt Glen nod at him as he ran his hand up and down her back.
