It was dead silent. The most silent Hiccup had ever heard Berk be. There wasn't any usual chattering, no dragon purr, roar or even the sound of waves hitting the shore. No, the sea was silent too. Everyone was. Berkians just stared to the sky, maybe hoping the dragons would come back, but without any luck. Slowly, people started to head home, with slow steps, quietly. Astrid gave a quick peck to Hiccup cheek before running home, Snotlout was trying to hide his sobs, Fishlegs was looking through his dragon cards, and the twins were already out of sight. Valka was talking to other villagers and Gobber was already cleaning up the forge, even if there was nothing to clean.
