CHAPTER 14: "Conjoined beast"
By the time they left the temple, Yun Sheng acquired five new silver coins and had a set of robes for the job.

Ding Lei's wounds were very serious. After Huo Yan people had known that the wounds were from people of the temple, they also dared not to attack and took Ding Lei away with them.

What happened within the temple was concealed by the village grandpa. However the villagers knew that Jiao Ye Village's waste, Yun Sheng, had defeated Huo Yan Village's Ding Lei and started to look upon her in a different light.

From the crowds' views, Yun Sheng calmly left the temple. Her mind, however, was still flashing the scene of a magic fire wolf appearing.

Unlike the village grandpa's gentle water magic and misty wind magic, the fire magic was arguably the most powerful and dazzling magic out of the four types of magic. Although Yun Sheng had the family's treasure with her, however magic was still too much for her to defend against.

Only, why was it that although she had already consumed the moonlight grass, she still couldn't condense the magical elements. This point left Yun Sheng feeling helpless.

Ahead appeared noises made by children.

"What kind of monster is it, let's throw rocks at it," a group of three and four year old children gathered around.

The children surrounded an unknown little dark beast, hard to determine what type of species it was.

The children called it monster because the beast had two heads.

One of the heads had been stoned and deformed by a child while the other too was splintered open and the skull dimly could be seen.

A deformed cub, in the eyes of the children indeed was a monster.

Beside Jiao Ye Village existed several barren mountains with some unknown wild animals living in it. Perhaps this young beast escaped from those mountains.

Yun Sheng from a doctor's point of view knew that the small deformed beast had congenital dysplasia. Along from starvation and the coldness, it wasn't going to survive much longer.

If it were in modern times, this little animal may still be able to survive with the help of advanced medical equipment used for a separation surgery. Unfortunately, the current environment was too rudimentary.

Just as Yun Sheng was about to walk away, her body jerked as if she had walked into an invisible wall.

She felt a series of strange mood swings, as if someone was whispering something into her ears.

Yun Sheng looked back over again and her sight collided with the beast's.

The little beast's eyes were full of pain.

That painful expression wasn't what a beast should have but rather more like a child's?

"Stop it, don't bully it," Yunsheng stepped forward without hesitation and scared the other children away.

When she was closer to the beast, Yun Sheng found out that even with such serious injuries, the beast still propped itself up when she had walked over. It's body's dirty fur stood up and it made up a defensive roar at Yun Sheng.

Most of the wild beasts were hostile to humans, not to mention a young beast that just had been bullied.

"I won't hurt you, don't be nervous," Yun Sheng knew that a dying beast was the most dangerous.

As she spoke, she edged closer to the two-headed beast who seemed to be pondering Yun Sheng's words with a trace of loss appearing within his eyes.
