"You're taking me on a date?"

"Luna, just trust me! We haven't gone on a date! I want to take you on one,"

"I kind of considered our run in with Medusa at her lair like two weeks ago as a first date, to be honest,"

Percy Jackson rolled his eyes, giving his girlfriend a look. Luna Ardelean couldn't help but laugh as she looked at him, finding the look on his face adorable.

"Just trust me, okay,"

"As long as this date doesn't have anything to do with the Underworld or saving the universe, then I completely trust you."

Luna's hand stayed wrapped in Percy's as she allowed herself to be pulled out of her cabin and into the midst of camp.

Luna's gaze was completely focused on the back of her boyfriend's head, unable to hide a smile from her lips. She had never felt with way before, and to be able to feel like this about someone so quickly was mind blowing to her. Whether this was the love destined to her in her prophecy or not, she was going to enjoy every second of it.

Campers waved to both Percy and Luna as they walked by. Some acted as if they were royalty when they walked by, seeing as they HAD saved the entire world, Olympus, and their lives basically. It was quite strange, seeing the people that Luna had grown up with admiring her every move, but she did her best to ignore it. Being a famous demi-god meant nothing to her. She had Percy, Annabeth, Arrow, and Grover, and that's all she really needed to be happy.

Percy looked back at her, a grin stretching across his face as he pulled her through a break of trees and onto the beach at surrounded the outside edge of the lake. Luna raised an eyebrow at him until he stepped out of the way, allowing Luna to see what was laid out before them.

It was simple: just a green blanket laid out on the beach. There was no food, as they had just had dinner, and there was no light, but it was perfect. It was just her and Percy, and there was nothing else that she wanted in this world.

Percy was quick to drag her over to the blanket, taking a seat on it as he pulled her down. Luna's smile never left her face as she fell to the ground beside Percy.

Their arms encircled one another as they leaned into each other, just quietly watching the sky and the water before them.

"Why this?" Luna questioned quietly, looking up at Percy. He cocked his head, something that Luna found absolutely adorable. "For a first date, why a quiet night on the beach?"

"Because this all started surrounded by chaos," Percy admitted, looking down at the beautiful girl in his arms. He was the luckiest demi-god to ever live, he was sure of it. "We happened so fast, and we somehow made it happen while trying to save the world and my mother. I wanted a second for us to just slow down, a second for it to just be us."

In that moment, Luna realized that this was quietly one of her favorite things in the world: moments where she felt normal. Moments like this, where she felt like a normal person and not a demi-god. Percy made her feel normal.

She cuddled into his side, allowing his arm to tighten around her as she watched the sun slowly set behind the horizon.

"The sky is gorgeous," Luna whispered, earning a hum from Percy.

"Not as gorgeous as you,"

Luna sat up, moving away from Percy as she raised an eyebrow at him, not amused or flattered by his comment. Percy leaned back on his arms, cocking an eyebrow at her with a smirk.

"I can't believe you seriously just said that cheesy line, water boy,"

Percy didn't get a chance to answer her back, sand flying into his face. He quickly wiped it away, looking up to see Luna laughing and running from him. He couldn't contain his smile as he chased after her.

It didn't take more than a minute for Luna to be caught, both of them tumbling to the ground. Luna's back hit the sand as she laughed, Percy landing on top of her with a smile, laughing as well. They looked up at one another, their grins growing.

Percy glanced to his left, noticing they had landed right by the water. A small wave was coming in as Percy held out his hand, the water dispersing around their bodies and leaving them dry. He turned back to Luna, who was still smiling up at him.

"Where were we?"

It only took the two a second for their lips to crash with one another's, each savoring the small moment they got to have with each other. It brought smiles to their faces that didn't seem like they were ever going to leave.

"I love you, moon child,"

"I love you most, water boy,"
