"How was I suppose to know that? It's your fault, dumbass" Bucky laughed.

Steve rolled his eyes and told Bucky to come in. He did so and closed the door behind him. He instantly began to fidget with his fingers as he thought what he's going to tell Steve. Well he already knows, it's just he doesn't know how to say it.

"What's so important that you had to push me to my room?" Steve sat on his bed and looked up at Bucky.

"Uh" he bit down on his bottom lip and looked down at the floor "well, you see, Dia-"

"You finally asked Dia out!" Steve said with a grin on his face.

Bucky nervously chuckled "not exactly"

Steve furrowed his eyebrows "you told her you're taking her out?"

"She asked me out on a date"

Steve raised his eyebrows in surprise "she asked you out? What did you say? Please tell me you said yes"

"My exact words were 'I'd love to'" Bucky blushed lightly.

"Oh my god" Steve breathed out "when did she ask you?"

"Uh, two days ago"

"Two days ago!?" He exclaimed "this happened two days ago and you tell me now!?"

"I'm sorry. I wanted to tell you but I needed a moment to process what happened and Josh was here and we got to talking and he demanded that I gave him five dollars but I didn't. And then yesterday he showed me pictures and he told me stories and honestly, everything is so overwhelming!" At this point, Bucky began with fire rapid Russian and Steve has no idea what he's saying.

It's not the first time it's happened and it probably won't be the last, it's just been a while since he's heard Bucky rant in Russian.

"Alright, alright" Steve stood up and calmed Bucky down.

He didn't get around to ask Bucky how he's handling the whole family thing. He can only assume he's freaking out of his mind. He remembers how the day after the big revelation, the whole group found Dia and Bucky sitting downstairs at the bar, talking and eating cheesecake.

After that, Bucky mostly kept the freaking out to himself and sticking to Dia, listening to the playlists she made him whenever he couldn't sleep or calm himself.

"You have to calm down, Buck. Look, I was only messing with you for a minute back then, but I'm sorry I didn't come to you sooner about the family thing. Its a big thing to go through and I really hope that Josh and his family help you" Steve kindly told his friend.

"It's so weird" Bucky admitted "the idea of having a family in this century, never even crossed my mind. But here they are, on the other side of the country but they're here"

"And I'm happy for you" Steve smiled brightly and placed a hand on Bucky's shoulder "but if they're anything like Josh then my sympathies" Both men chuckled at that "alright, so, tell me what happened with Dia"

Steve sat back down on his bed and looked up at Bucky with expecting eyes. Bucky looked down at the floor and grinned "I don't know what's to tell"

"Aw, come on! You just told me she asked you out and you accepted. You said she asked two days ago, now where did this happen?" Steve asked like a teenager eager for gossip.

"When Josh came with the cherries, it was shortly after they went to glare at you" Bucky explained as he sat on the chair of Steve's desk.

"Yeah, I remember that very well" Steve mumbled as he remembered how Natasha, Wade and Joshua were glaring at him for no reason.
