The girl ran through the streets of Greenwich Village, her dark brown hair with an almost white platinum blonde ombre whipping in the wind behind her, desperately trying to escape the creatures pursuing her. She had been leaving dinner with her mother at a nearby Thai restaurant when these things, headed up by someone who called themselves Mordo, came out of nowhere. She had hidden behind her mother desperately trying to avoid looking at the hideous creatures. The girl couldn't tell you much of what happened after that. Her mother had told her to run and that's what she did. It had been a valient effort trying to escape but she had been cornered by the creatures in front of one of the town houses. She backed up to the door and pressed her body up against the wood paneling. The creature's lips smacked together showing its disgusting yellow teeth, wanting nothing more than to dig into the meal it planned to make out of the girl. She breathed heavily desperately trying to find the handle to open the door, praying to god that the owner of the home had left it open for some reason. When she finally found the handle, she felt a surge of energy go through her body out the hand grasping the latch before the door pushed open behind her.

She breathed heavily, backing into the house as the Undying One's followed, stalking around her as she stood in a very intricate foyer. She didn't want to fight, not with her powers. She had discovered them a long time ago, in fact, she didn't remember a time in which she didn't have powers at all, but in all that time, all she remembered was her mother telling her not to use them no matter what. There was something bad about them, something her mom never seemed to have an answer for, but now it seemed to be her only hope. Took a deep breath, trying to conjure the only thing she had figured out how to and with a little luck and effort, her fans of purple, what she considered to be, magic flickered to life on her hands only to have one of them flicker out. The beasts ran at her, seeing this as an act of aggression and started their attacks seeing this as their opportunity to kill. She blocked a few of the attacks with the fan that hadn't disappeared and hit a few with them, hoping somehow that she would frighten them off but these damned things were determined to carry out the job that had originally sought out to do. One of the monsters had managed to knock her to the floor disenchanting her. It stood over her growling menacingly, baring its teeth, definitely ready to kill. Blood poured from a deep cut on her forehead where one of the creatures had clawed her. This was it, she was going to die. She closed her eyes and braced for the worst only to hear the creatures yelping in pain and the sounds of fighting and something that sounded similar to her magic.

Slowly she found the courage to open her eyes. The beast that had been on top of her laid dead next to her and the other three dead as well if not mortally injured. In the center of them stood a man in a blue tunic holding an axe in one hand and a glowing whip in the other. He breathed heavily for a few moments surveying the dead creatures before the whip disappeared into thin air, allowing him to hoist the axe up onto his right shoulder. The girl's eyes went wide, somebody else was able to use magic too. The man turned and looked down to the girl who still laid on the floor. "Undying Ones. Unusual to see them in New York but not uncommon." The man raised an eyebrow seeing the girl backing up. "What? They're all dead now, there's nothing to be afraid of." The girl pointed to the axe he held. "Right...I'll just put this down then..." He said waving his hands only for the axe to disappear into thin air. She took a moment to study the man, he had thick dark brown locks and was starting to grey at the sides, but it made him look very distinguished. He had high cheekbones and ocean blue orbs for eyes. He gave off a really intimidating aura to the fifteen-year-old. "Now normally this is the part where I would erase your memory, but I have a few questions for you." He said offering a hand to the female to help her up. She slowly accepted his hand, feeling a strange but oddly familiar wave of energy pass through her hand.

She looked up at the man who starred off to the side with a slight hint of confusion in his eyes. He looked to her with a questioning glance as if to ask her something, but before she could a bald man burst into the room. "Stephen, more Undying Ones on Thompson Street, Umar is with them."
