Who just stares like that?

We took a seat on one of the lowest stands as we watched the guys have their impromptu reunion. Before the game started, Dimitri jogged over to us with Tyler joining him.

"Could you keep this for me?" Dimitri asked Hazel, holding out his phone and car keys.

"Do I look like your personal handbag?" Hazel snapped. Dimitri just rolled his eyes.

"I'll keep it," I said.

I did feel bad for the guy and I had no idea why Hazel was always so snappy around him. They sometimes argued like an old married couple. It was so much fun to watch.

"Thank you," he said, handing me his things.

Tyler raised an eyebrow, holding out his watch and 2 pairs of car keys. I assumed that one belonged to Javi. I stretched out my hand to accept it and received a grateful wink in return before the two of them jogged back onto the field.

For the first time, I noticed that there was an older man, maybe just a couple of years older than us, on the field. Referee maybe? The man blew his whistle once everyone was in formation and the game started. The girls on the other end of us could not bother to contain themselves and exploded with applause and screams.

Really? We're they still in highschool or something?

After 10 minutes, Tyler scored from outside the box. In the 18th minute, the opposition scored an equalizer. 7 minutes after that, Javi is fouled inside the box and is awarded a penalty which he takes advantage off and scores. On the brink of half time, Dimitri scores from a corner.

Yes! This girl knows a thing or two about soccer! Don't judge me just because I happen to be a doctor. Psht!

They took a 15 minute break to regenerate. Dimitri jogged over and collapsed on the stand below us as he purposely rested his head in Hazel's lap.

"Eww! Get off! You're all sticky and more disgusting than usual," Hazel complained as she tried to push him off but he didn't move an inch.

Tyler sat below me with Javi next to him and they both sipped on their water as we all watched the show. Hazel eventually had enough and decided to stand up without warning, causing Dimitri to hit his head hard on the steel stands.

"Ahh!" He cried out in pain, "a warning would've been nice."

"Where's the fun in that?" Hazel snapped back.

The 4 of us, that weren't involved in the highly entertaining show that was going on, just laughed. The 2 of them continued their back and forth bickering until eventually, a tall blonde guy called them back for the second half. Dimitri, for one, seemed almost grateful to go back on the field.

The game started so I took the opportunity to try and grill Hazel a bit. "So? What's the deal with you and Dimitri?"

"Long story, Kate," she answered, looking down.

I've heard that before mainly because I've used it a good couple of times. It usually meant that I don't really feel like talking about it, so I let her be. Maybe she'll tell me willingly one day.

15 minutes into the second half and Tyler scores from a free kick. In the 70th minute, another player on Tyler's team scores on the counter attack. 5 minutes later, Tyler scores with an assist from Javi, earning him a hat trick. 4 minutes before the game is over, a player from the other team comes off with what looked like cramps.

"Give him something with sodium in it. Something salty!" Dimitri yelled back to whoever was seeing to that guy.

The game was over with a final score of 6-1. Everyone celebrated on the field before the guys came running over to us.
