Happiness in its freshest form?
Does it taste of,
Ancient days with their delighted evenings?
Or
Does it taste bitter?
Like sorrow and sadness?
Does it taste of,
Unknown misery and grief in their deepest forms?
Does it taste like,
The bitter tears that rain from your eyes?
Does it taste of,
That ancient demon's rotten blood?
The one that lives in the darkest corner of your mind,
The one that is as old as time itself?
