POV: Samuel Ida

Another day in my facility started like everyone. I walked to my office where my secretary, April, was waiting with report and today's program.

- Good morning, professor.

- Good morning, April. Anything new? - I asked, because she looked excited.

- Well, here's the report. - April gave me a folder full of data. Data about our little project. - Subject HS-1 was really active yesterday. He's regenerating his body after hibernation.

- So he should wake up soon.

- Correct.

- Inform Professor Diana and Dark Scepter Task Force. - I said without hesitation. - We must observe him 24/7 from now on.

- Yes, professor.

Half an hour later - Subject HS-1's observatory.

Subject HS-1 was still in the hibernation coma. But his organism was very active, especially his cells and brain.

Dark Scepter was ready to tranquilize him if he started acting  instinctively.

- Don't you think it's exciting? - Diana, my co-worker, asked. - It's a real human! Alive and ready to wake up!

- Yes, it is. - I answered. - I hope that he'll become a usefull ally for the Octarian Kingdom. We lost too much Octarians because of the New Squidbeak Splatoon.  Isaac lost his brother, you lost boyfriend and I lost my little sister. I wish she was here to see this wonderful creature.

- Me too, Sam. Me too.

Minutes passed, then hours started. He was still sleeping. Like a little baby. The stress was too big and I decided to move things forward a bit.

- Inject him adrenaline. - I ordered.

- We don't know, what might happen... - Diana said, but I didn't listen. He was technically awake. He just needed some help.

One of my scientists walked inside with a syringe filled with adrenalin. One shot and he'll be walking among us. And I could easily become a new Octarian King.

Octavio was missing for over a year and because of it most of the Octolings moved to the surface and started to live with... Inklings. We shouldn't coexist. They should be our slaves after a hundred years of leaving underground, like rats. And I'll make sure of it.

Just before injection, something triggered the alarm. One of the monitors showed a camera from outside the facility.

- NEW SQUIDBEAK SPLATOON! - Terrified Diana screamed.

I activated com. - To all personel! Evacuate immediately! This isn't training! Evacuate immediately! Agents 1 and 2 are inside! Dark Scepter, secure Subject HS-1! I repeat! Secure Subject HS-1!

- Okey-dokey! - Agent 1 screamed through the com.

- YOU'LL BOTH DIE, INKLING BITCHES!

Something wrecked the door and killed all the scientists. I looked at it.

- I don't think so, Samuel. - Agent 2 said. - I promised your sister not to kill you. Now, tell me, what is this Subject HS-1.

- Look for yourself. - I said.

Agent 2 looked at Subject HS-1. I grabbed a nearby syringe with a dose of adrenalin enough to kill. When I tried to stab her, she grabbed my arm and stabbed me with bayonet.

- You fucking whore!

- Don't try this again, Samuel. - She said through her surgical mask and kicked me on the wall. - Agent 1, I need your help here. There's something I have to show you.

After hearing this words I passed out.

POV: Marie

Callie came to the room with human inside of it where I was waiting for her.

- Is that what I think it is? - She asked.

- Homo Sapiens. Also known as 'human'.

- I thought they disappeared after the First Flood. - She said surprised. - And why is he so big?

- I don't know. You can ask Marina, when we get him out.

- Wait, you want to take him with us?

- We can't just leave him. Not with Octarians and Marina's brother.

- *Sigh* You're right. I just hope that he's a good human.

- Time will show. Now, grab his legs and I'll take his arms. We're leaving.
