"Oh I don't care if I get fat," Chu Hua happily continued to eat the foods, "What this strange food?"

Kuan-Yin smiled saying nothing of the food. It was a dish she learnt in the foreign lands, it was a rice dish that is wrapped in pastry that was invented by the Northern Foreigner.

The reason why they are called Foreign Lands is that they are separated by large seas. The eastern people are fairer skin with much leaner built and are well known for their long history of knowledge and elegance. The Western Foreign Land has people with light skin tone with a medium built between a Northerner and an Easterner and their well known for their magic and naturally colourful hair. The Southern Lands are more mysterious however a couple of people have discovered that mostly humanoid demonic beast lived there in harmony and there are well known for their superior abilities and otherworldly beauty.

Everyone was curious about this dish and watched Chu Hua eat the dish. "Sister use your hands that's the best way to eat it!" Kuan-Yin picked one up and ripping it in half exposing the fragrant cooked rice with an unfamiliar aroma that seems to quench their appetite. Chu Hua followed Kuan-Yin's example and ripped the strange food in half. Steam and aroma burst open like a package increasing her hunger to eat the wrapped rice. The exterior was crunchy and flaky like a biscuit but it wasn't sweet like a traditional sweet. The rice was soft and mushy making it easier to eat and the flavour of this dish was incredible nothing like she had eaten before. The mushy rice hadn't made the crunchy exterior soggy which was incredible until she realised the crunch from the exterior was in fact cabbage.

After seeing Chu Hua happily eating her portion everyone else started to eat the dish without hesitation. Soon, all the food in the feast was demolished it was as if a typhoon has swept past.

Chu Hua was thoroughly satisfied with the feast as she was eating another of the same dish she ate earlier. "Yin'er this has got to be the best one I have eaten so far," Chu finished the dish, "What's it called?" Chu Hua was very curious about the origin of this food.

Kuan-Yin finished eating her portion, "It's curry bread," Kuan-Yin, however, was disappoint with the dish, "I wish I could have the spice from the Northern Lands to make this properly. This was disappointing the ingredients I wished I could have aren't available in the Southern Lands and I had to substitute them with other ingredients." She sulked unhappily at her food predicament.

Everyone who unfortunately heard this was shocked, to say the least,        because the 'curry bread' they had eaten was incredibly delicious however because the ingredients she was able to get was substituted with local ingredients. They wanted to spit blood for her comment on the delicious dish however they thought if she had the right ingredients how would the dish taste? There could only imagine the taste as they drooled.

"Yin'er I need to talk to you privately," Kuan-Bai took his sister away to a more private room so they could talk.

"What is it Da ge? Is Chen causing you trouble?" Kuan-Yin was slightly worried if her brother wanted to talk to her in private.

"Have you seen any patients with scales?" Kuan-Bai asked sternly.

Kuan-Yin however never seen a patient with scales so she could only shake her head. Kuan-Yin took his clothes off until his waist showing her patchy dark navy scales were growing on Kuan-Bai's skin. They were growing in clusters randomly in different areas of his skin. Kuan-Yin probed at the scales examining them closely, the scales effortlessly such to attach on his skin as if he were growing them.

"Could you find anything about this weird condition?" Kuan-Bai was frustrated with the added problem on his list.

Kuan-Yin stood up straight from her previous examination position, "There are only three possible reasons why you are having this weird condition. The first reason you have been afflicted by a disease that makes you grow these scales. The second reason you have offended a divine deity by accident and they have cursed you. Finally, my third reason though I highly doubt it is that we have inherited this trait from mother because father is definitely a hundred per cent human leaving out mother for speculation." Kuan-Yin finished her theories that she could think of.

Kuan-Bai concentrated in his past to see whether he had done any of the above. "The second reason we can eliminate because I have never been in contact with a divine deity. The disease wouldn't wouldn't be a reason because they had been no history on this type of disease in the North Fa Continent." Kuan-Bai sternly thought about the last theory that could be reasonable especially because of the disappearance of their mother.

"I think the final reason is the only explanation of this condition." Kuan-Bai put his clothes back on.

"When did you realise you got this condition?" Kuan-Yin wasn't quite sure when he got their skin condition.

Kuan-Yin focused hard to remember the date, "About 3 weeks being in the North Fa Continent. The weather was extremely hot and dry my skin started to grow scales." He explained the beginning of the growth of his scales, "At first they were soft and then they started to harden."

Kuan-Yin was worried for her brother could this mean something? Was there a family secret Kuan-Bai and herself never knew about? "Da ge how about you and I visit father?"

They both agreed to visit their father back in the South Ming Continent. Kuan-Yin planned to return back to travelling once she found the truth out.
