Steph’s pov

I was lying on my bed when my phone started ringing. I glared at it and chucked it across the room. I just wanted peace and quiet, can’t people just leave me alone? It went to voicemail, “hi Steph. It’s Ash from last night. Look, I’m really sorry about this morning. Did you want to meet up for a coffee and I will explain everything?” I leapt across the room.

“Hello?” I said quickly, hoping he was still there.

“Hey, it’s Ash. I was just wondering if you wanted to meet up for a coffee.” He sounded really nervous.

"Yes, i would love to." I replied, smiling to myself. I looked at the clock, which read 3:o5 pm. "How about 5 at the Starbucks nearest your house?" He agreed and i hung up. I jumped back onto my bed and grinned like a fool at the ceiling. I didn't know why i liked him so much, i just did. I looked in the mirror once i had managed to pull myself up. CRAP! I looked like a complete mess. I took a quick shower and got dressed. I put on a cute owl jumper and black skinny jeans, it looked freezing outside. I straightened my hair and put on a bit of mascara. By the time i had finished it was four. I grabbed my bag and started walking to Starbucks.

It took about fifty freezing minutes until i finally got there. I ordered a hot chocolate and found a small table to sit at. I gulped down the hot chocolate, grateful for the warmth.

"Hey", i hadn't even noticed he had arrived. "Nice hot chocolate?” he said, laughing.

"Hi", i said not sure if i was still angry at him about this morning. He seemed to catch on.

“Look, I’m really sorry about earlier. It’s just I have been with quite a few girls”, I raised my eyebrows at him, “shit, that came out wrong. What I meant was that I felt something different about you. I wanted to take you out again, but I guess I was just scared.” He wouldn’t look at me. Something about what he said gave me butterflies, I brought his chin up.

“It’s okay, I forgive you.” I said, right before I kissed him. His lips were so soft and warm, yet they gave me goose bumps. When I finally pulled back, we were both grinning at each other. We noticed a few people were staring; he grabbed my hand and led me outside. He picked me up and I started laughing uncontrollably.

“Where are we going?” I said, trying to catch my breath.

“Back to mine”, he noticed my frown. “NO! Not like that! I meant we could watch some movies, I have popcorn!” I sighed, relieved.

“Well…who could turn down popcorn?!” He smiled and we got into his car.
